ugly as sin![]()
livin' the low life.
I like the front, the rear with that wing looks butt ugly and those seats are horrible.
Kuzman's Supercharged SV6 - MACE TUNED
1 word. Fugly.
The interior on the other hand.. yes please.
Well obviously it aint gonna look exactly like the ol' VL isn't it?? - based on the VE body I'd say it looks pretty mean.
I like the interior (even though you can only see part of the dash & the seats....)
Overall a nice car IMO..
Interior is bloody nice don't like the scoop on hood at all
Not a fan of the scoop but quite like the rest.
Reaper
Great concept
Design could be much better
Interior looks sweet apart from the headrest's
lol It comes with an Energy Polariser...
The Peter Brock sticker on the car cheapens the crap out of it for me.
Not a fan.
mmmmm brakes![]()
In the link it says it comes with peter brocks signature... Am I the only one who thinks that is worthless on a car made like 5 years after he died? I understand its based on an earlier commodore that,he was involved with but the fact is he didnt have.anything to do with this one

Hdt should look to something more original than a revamp of old classic muscle cars onto late model body,s.im sure someone at hdt has an original idea dont you think?

Exactly, I dont mind the retro look, I think they look good, however to me the new cars lack passion, imagination and are just trying to cash in on the petigree of the past cars (VB-VL) success in racing and developments in Australian muscle cars.
I wonder what they are going to do next??
VN aero? lets see them try to make that look good on a VE
A Walkinshaw copy? stray from the the HDT line
wont be long and they will run out of stuff to copy

i like it, but the brock sig just doesnt sit right
i like the car, especially the interior. not really sold on the front grill though, looks to much like a mail slot.
Yuck... the gay wing, boonet scoop. let it go HDT. do something new for once.
Interior is nice tho.
Not a fan.. I like the other VE retro's, but this one is too big and ugly.. Like that scoop, way too big!
Like most things, the pictures do not do justice to the car. As someone who was there on the day of the VL Retro launch and took the pictures that glennho posted (thanks for the credit - not), this HDT is something to behold. With other 'New Gen" HDT's, it's either loved or hated, just as people love or hate HSV etc.
Some bag HDT for using the name of "PB" on the cars, however Bev Brock has given HDT re use of PB's signature, the go ahead for both the "30th Anniversary Edition" and the "VL Retro". So whilst PB ain't around to give it the tick, Bev Brock has. Some may not realise that the current owner of HDT and Peter Brock were mates and had discussed what they would if HDT was up for sale. Thus whilst Brockie died before Champion bought HDT, I don't think PB would mind a bit re the use of his name gven it was his heart and sole that built HDT originaly. Just a shame he wasn't around to be part of the new gen HDT.
BTW: This is the last of the 'retro' series, so it will be interesting to see what comes out of HDT post the VL.
