A (Minor) Ethical Issue

So I just got back from the shops, where in the CarPark I found a $20 note, that looked like it had fallen out of someone's pocket while they were getting into their car.
I pick it up and go to the Security Office only for them to be closed.

Wasn't sure as to what to do, but I ended up keeping it (didn't know what else to do).

I'm not sure what my options are atm, as I was brought up on the concept that if its not your's you don't own it...I'm thinking I'll probably just drop it into the Church collection or the Salvo's next time I'm there.

Thoughts?
(And yes I know its only 20 but its the principle...)

Drop it off to the local cop shop then tell the car park where it is, if you get it back then donate it. JOB DONE!

A small amount like that, that someone was careless enough to lose I'd just keep it, If I stuffed a 20 in my pocket and it fell out I honestly wouldn't expect to see it again. A large sum that someone obviously might want back I would turn in.

Call the carpark security company say you found some money, dont say how much, and give them your number.

If it isnt claimed with the correct dollar amount in a week its yours.
