Hybrid doesn't mean grandma cars or greenie cars. Electric motors have a huge amount of torque, using that for torque and petrol engine for power can be wield more performance than a larger petrol engine alone. Hence the Lexus hybrid sold as a performance car. I think with that torque more than enough fun can be achieved.
