Titanic Sinking Conspiracy Theory

Just watched a documentary on a conspiracy theory of the sinking of the Titanic, very good watch, if anyone's interested watch it here:

In summary, basically due to the Olympic's (Titanic's sister ship) continued mechanical problems after collisions with a Tugboat and Naval ship, White Star Line (owner of the ships) swapped the Olympic and the Titanic over (as they were basically identical) and planned to sink the Titanic (claimed to be the Olympic in disguise) on it's maiden voyage, with a ship on standby to pick up ALL passengers and for White Star Line to claim on insurance to make a 25% profit on the disaster (cost $10m to build, claim paid out for $12.5m).

Not that I have much to base my opinion on, I call BS, despite alot of evidence to support it, it just smells fishy.

I'm 49% against it, 51% for the original known cause (no conspiracy lol)

I saw this doco on the tv several years ago.
it is plausible, but like most conspiracy theories, it leaves a lot of unanswered questions

I saw a youtube documentary saying that George Bush Jr and Snr were both alien reptilian shape shifters and it showed "compelling evidence" of times where they lost their human form for a split second and turned into a reptile on camera. Gotta love a good conspiracy theory

That story is not new. Probably not true either but as with all conspiracy theories as impossible to disprove as it is to believe.

I thought the Titanic first took man to the moon. Then, on it's way back it his a fracture in space time and ended up briefly in the year 2001 where it collided with two high rise buildings in New York City, disappeared back through the fracture in space time, landed in the Atlantic ocean and sank due to the damage of re-entry and caused by the buildings.

I'm sorry, what has that got to do with the Titanic?

Now most conspiracy theories are bullshit, but this one poses alot of very convincing evidence.

Let me list a few.

1. Porthole arrangement on the bow, Olympic had 16, Titanic had 14, all the pictures after the supposed 'switch' show 16 portholes?

2. Promenade Deck B window arrangement, Olympics were Unevenly spaced, Titanic's were Evenly spaced, photo's after the supposed switch show the Titanic as having 'uneven' windows?

3. The wreck at the bottom of the sea shows where the black hull paint has faded away, you can see the grey undercoat, this was ONLY used on the Olympic.

4. The Ship's names were STAMPED onto the bow and stern hull plates, the wreck of the Titanic show's that the name plates were Riveted on, i.e. separate Brass Letters were put on the ship on top of the hull plates. The wreck shows that two or three of the TITANIC letters have fallen off, there is M P stamped onto the hull underneath?

Now as I said, I'm not completely sold on this theory, but such plain and convincing evidence must beg the questions to be asked.....

Well that's obviously not true now as evidence shows how the hull plates were bent by the impact and rivets were popped, allowing water in and to 'spread' the plates, the bulkhead arrangements allowed the water free travel throughout the bowles of the ship.

Its got nothing to do with the titanic, just conspiracy theorys in general (though that was obvious but maybe not).

Just saying that you can find a conspiracy theory on just about anything no matter how far fetched it may sound, and there are thousands of people who believe it.

I did just sit down and watch this, kinda interesting, there's a lot of long bows like any conspiracy theory show.

The biggest problem is a lot of the later conclusions they draw are based on the theory that it is the Olympic.

Example they say the starboard prop was numbered with the Titanic's number, and "remember the Titanic's propeller was put on the Olympic". But upon launching of the Titanic it would have a new prop with the Titanic number on it. So that bit is kinda BS.

The other thing is I can't find any evidence regarding the stamping of Olympic under the riveted Titanic letters, so that could simply have been made up. There's no record of it in Ballard's voyages to the wreck, and there's not reason they wouldn't mention it, regardless of the name, the ship still sank at that time. And the image they show is just really bad CGI... so yeah... really doubt that one.

They do raise some interesting points, some stupid ones, some reaaaaaly long bows. I honestly really doubt they did it.
