So this guy is supposed to be one of the upstanding moral enforcers of Aransas County. The story goes that his palsy-afflicted daughter developed a fascination with technology as a way of living her life without having to leave home. This nutcase is apparently severely technologically impaired and refused to allow the internet to be used in his house etc. One story is that it was for her pirating music/games. I count 17 hits from him and one from his wife.

My dad was a bit weird with punishment. Something simple like getting caught smoking got massive beat downs or worse and serious things would get seriously disapproving looks. A mate and I got picked up riding his motorbike without a license when I was 14 or so and no real repercussions at all. I gave the girl up the road some clothes when she ran away from home, also about 14yo, and he gave me the lot right down to a DB shoved in my mouth, unloaded but I didn't know at that time, and I bolted from the house when he went to get something to load it with.

So me, I just don't use any physical punishment at all and my anger I keep to myself as it belongs to me. Seems to have worked out OK even if you do, sometimes, wanna make 'em squeal a little

Wow. He can only blame himself. Wonder what the penalty would be that he would give out if that was presented as evidence?

I guess he beats his wife too then will wonder why she eventually kills him (if the daughter doesn't first).

If he knew the computer was an issue, why not remove it from the bedroom and monitor the use? Remove the temptation, be a mature adult. Don't blame a child for being a child. Lying is from fear, not a desire to deceive. This "judge" needs some serious help.
