Hey worse case scenario it goes bad and you mark it off as a bad experience. People get too hung up on negatives. If something is not meant to be then move on.

Yup - exactly... You can't live life by "what-ifs".

Cash Converters???, or one of them machines at the supermarket, I would go for cubic zerconia as it's the cheaper option unless she gets it valued, but would you want to be with a woman who doesn't trust you anyway?

Well things are well underway. Pretty much the whole wedding is arranged, booked and deposits paid. It's going to be on my Fiance's family property in country Victoria and despite what most people initially think, it actually makes things a LOT more complex to organise and certainly no less expensive. We're unlikely to get any change from around $30,000!!! (we initially thought arouns $15,000 - $20,000 so thankfully relo's have kicked in from both sides) But that's going to give us everything we want... A bloody good photographer, fully fitted and equiped marquee for 110 people, fully catered with table service and bar staff, 5 peice band for 5 hours, celebrant and all the logistics and other stuff (decorations, alcohol, dresses, suits, transportation for guests from the closest big town) and anything else you can think of that we need that goes along with it all...

Ceremony will be something like this with a small lake as a backdrop also... Only with more guests (der! haha). Just simple and relaxed for everyone.

Reception will be something along these lines but with flowers not twigs (wtf? lol), but bigger - enough room for everyone plus space for a timber dance floor and band stage. As well as clear sides that can be fully open or closed...

Engagement Party is sorted and we just finished the invitations and got them into envelopes this week. Did them ourselves. Cost: $70 (incl. printing and buying a guiotine to cut them nicely). We're not inviting anyone to the Engagement Party that's not also invited to the wedding.

Here's what we came up with (names, dates, locations all changed or blacked out). They're actually two separate cards, combined here for convenience... Yes, we used a picture of her actual engagement ring for the engagement. Corny, but we liked it! lol

I've heard platnium wears worse than gold/white gold because its a harder metal. Gold can be repolished and white gold can be recoated with Rhodium, Platnium is also alot more expensive. (i think it looks nicer)

Can hardly tell i've been shopping for rings =P

Thanks for the good wishes. And yes, there will be a few people who think it's too much to pay. But in our opinion, for what is effectively the biggest and most important event in both our lives at this point, we actually still think it's a small price to pay to make it exactly what we want, to create exactly the memories we want.... It also includes a 7 night Honeymoon in Vanuatu in arguably one of the best beach resorts in the South Pacific.

    Looks good Rufys.

As for the resort for the honeymoon...all I will say is there will be loads of good food, good diving and great sex

I do hope you got the honeymoon villa with the plunge pool though

Aw c'mon why block out the address, whats a aussie wedding without at least a few Holden Bogans turning up and laying some skids on the way out?

Nah seriously, looks fantastic. Now just pray for good weather.
