I have to disagree with you, IMO how can posting pics of your car make it more chance of getting stolen, if you chose the right background, obiuosly not with your street sign in the background. IMO again the way they find out is they see them driving and follow them, and thats how one of them did get stolen, they seen him at the mall

If you use your phone and it thinks it's smarter than you it'll Geo-tag your photo. So all a computer savvy crim would need to do is troll through forums looking for something they like and see if there are GPS co-ordinates in the pictures to make life easier on themselves. In saying that though how desperate for attention do you need to be to pinch peoples stuff and post pictures on a forum. Reminds me of the bright sparks posting pics of their booty after all the looting in London, the police caught up with them.
