Hey everyone, just want ur opinion on these custom plates I may pickup today.

They read: UNR3AL

And look like:




Going on a black WL Caprice.






Also would you agree that the popo will pick on me more now that I'll have custom plates?
That's whats been holding me back from custom plates for a while.

What's ur experience been like ever since u got some custom plates with them?

Do I like them: No, they are a try hard and a bit wanky.

Will the popo go after you more: Given how modified your car is, the plates won't help.

BUT, it's your car mate, if you personally like them, tell everyone who doesn't to get stuffed. It's your car, and a very subjective thing.

Honest opinion? They are the sort of plates on the sort of car I would think "look at this tosser" if I saw you drive past. I wouldn't normally comment, but you asked and have to be prepared to take the bad with the good So long as you like them thats all that matters.

Don't worry about the haters, personalised plate are sweet, I don't particularly see what's UNR3AL about it, but nevermind. At first I thought it said URINAL, and I was like

I think the "PoPo" or "Police" as everyone else knows them, won't give two hoots as to what number plates you have on your car. If you drive like a dick they will be on you like white on rice.

I have 'other than standard' number plates on my car, haven't been pulled up since they've been on. They probably figure if you've got enough money to waste on personalised plates, and enough confidence to do so, that theres a good chance you actually look after your car.

They go for easy money - 'P' Platers driving Lodeo's, sitting diff on chassis, or patchy looking shit box's. Not a tidy looking late model car with personalised number plates.

I have to agree with this. Plates need to suit the car so ask yourself is your car so insanely modified and a head turner to the point people say "wow that car is unreal." If not you will have many rolling their eyes and thinking you are dreaming.

Not my cup of tea but I hate all the plates that use '3's as 'E's etc. Reason is when I first glimpsed at it, I had to look a 2nd time to read what it said. IMO custom plates should be readable at the first look or else they arnt as cool.
As for the popo (wow i thought everyone had heard the cops called the popo before..) I dont think it makes much difference. If your acting like a dick they are gonna pull you over custom plates or no. Dont give them anything to pull you over for and it wont matter mate.

For me, personalised plates need to be easy to read/understand and they shouldn't make the car out to be something it's not (much like what Minux said with QIKSS etc. when they're little more than a stock car). In fact, these days i'm starting to like personalised plates that don't really stand out as being personalised plates (e.g. My ute has standard issue 3x3 plates in black and white that describe the car, but don't stand out).

Also agreed with numbers being used as letters, it's gay.

Wow, thanks for everyones honest response that's what I love bout here.
Good or bad I wanted to here and thats what I got.

Well I told the person I was buying them off that I have changed my mind and won't take em.

I thought they looked ok wen I first saw em.
And for $300 I thought were cheap.

But sometimes u need to ask around for other opinions to clarify things.
