Default Can someone help me with my situation

Hey guys I'm stuck right now in my next move with my car, so far iv converted it to manual, new cat back exhaust, new tyres all around, lowered it, n a few other things,
I replaced the fuel pump not to long ago n the guage hasn't worked propley since, holden recalibrated the gauge n said it isn't communicating propley, iv also got my fuel consumption problem, 200 ks to a tank is a bit much for my liking, should I replace all of it or should I swap it for a 04 vz sv6 auto completely standard with 160 on the clock, the car yard guy said I could do a straight swap but I just want someone elses advice pls

If 160 is on the clock, then it's either a funky after market clock or the clock is broken. Either way, I'd ask the dealer for a discount or find a car with a clock that displays time correctly.

Straight swap as in no cash adjustment?

If so then that VZ may have some issues.

Edit - just saw your ride was the VX SS, not the VR you have listed. Still I'd be wary.

has your car been tuned (aftermarket), if not look at that and investigate why its chewing the juice, ie faulty sensor, fuel tank leak, running to rich?

I just got my VR ute running right after converting to manual, at the end of the day it's close to 20yrs old and it's not going to be reliable for me... Things are going on it slowly and I'm sick of blowing money on it.

I just put a deposit on a brand spank Falcon ute 6 speed, alloy tray... F*ck yeah... can't wait til I pick it up Wednesday.

Doesnt mean they are a 'good' workshop though. lol. Dealer workshops focus on car turnover, getting them in and out asap, not necessarily doing the best work or going the extra step to help the customer.
Id get the VZ if it was me. Newer, better and hell of a lot more kms to a tank then 200! lol

Um.. Your right. Seeing as they are holdens.... Anyway, to the OP, I'd take it somewhere and get checked out first, may be something quite simple. Doesn't sound like a bad deal the yard is offering though.
