Is that one of those crazy huge spiders that you see on youtube eating mice?

DEAD ON ARRIVAL
yeh, theyre awesome to watch.
This one is pretty small, maybe an inch - 1.5 inch with legs out.
What do you feed them? Im ment to feed this 1-2 a week but the crickets i have only live for like a week and i have like 30 haha.
*cringes* spiders
definately interesting but not something i would personally own.
speaking about pets. this was in the newspaper today. id hate to see its food bill =P
Pet Bison
I guess you'll have to buy a few crickets each week?
Great pet. Be sure lid is on tight![]()
I got a desert scorpion. And will be getting a flinders range scorpion and a trapdoor spider hopefully. And eventually i plan to get a centipede
Mark.
#### that its bad enough having daddy long legs hanging in the corner
Check these websites out if you want some good spiders, dont know about permit and stuff.
if you want crickets, but a container from pet store, take home and set up in a large container with a parrot nset mix on the bottom bout a 2-3 cm, and give theme some where to hide, toilet roll tubes are makes them easier to catch they go in you block the holes and have captured crickets, i feed my crickets everyday a tspn wheatgerm and a slice of carrot or any over fresh veg. adult cricket live for a bout three weeks, but will lay eggs in the method show and just raise your own.
ps. if anyone wants to send me a funnel web or any other spiders i will be willing to pay for spider and postage

DEAD ON ARRIVAL
oh if you want and easy way to catch your cricket put he container in the fridge for about 15min, this slows them down and makes easier to pick out, and always feed spiders with long tweasers - safety first.
DEAD ON ARRIVAL
Wouldn't it be a **** of a day if you woke up one morning and she wasn't there...
has happened, my last bird eater escaped when the cat fell through the lid, never ever found the spiders body but she left a web every where she went, was a huge web under my bed, but it was the next day the pest guy came and sprayed then i got another company in the afternoon to spray as well just in case, so you ask "why do you keep them" they are unsual and kinda kool and females live for about 15 years, male a couple of years if she doesnt eat him after the spider rumba, lol
DEAD ON ARRIVAL
Haha you know that bird eater was just lurkin at night..
watching...
waiting...
with its dead eyes...
they are all nice and cuddly when they are in thier tank but once they get out nothing a size 10 thong wont fix
DEAD ON ARRIVAL
Nice dude xD Thats a sick specimen! Make sure you keep him healthy and happy with a good diet (And a nice hidey hole that he can have a home in, need the right mixture of darkness, but also in the open so you can see his web, they take a while to settle into a new environment so don't get disheartened if he doesn't spin right away), that way he can grow up to be a nice big one. Funnel webs can grow so big, that if you were lieing in bed, and they walked on the pillow next to you, you could hear them walking.
Just remember... That thing can kill you. Just be extra carefull untill he gets settled in his new home (He probably isn't the happiest of spiders right now)
haha, its a she.
Shes already made a hole ( ignoring my wood cave thing a bought)
And shes completely eaten a cricket and a moth.
Theres webs around the entire outside of the tank where she patrols at night haha.
