Keep the VP mate. The 250s Die pretty fast. I Had a GS500F when i first started out. Had decent power, beat SSs up to 100 quite easy.
Then i sold it cause of the whole money and needing somewhere to live thing lol. Now i just ride my fathers sv1000s time to time, best thrill every 0-100 in less then 3 seconds HAHA
But if you have had no experience on a bike, keep to the LAMS first. you want to have decent experience before jumping onto a open sports bike. they can be a hand full lol and will bite hard if your not on it 100%
For the twisties, take a B-King. Busa engine, shorter wheel base, but different exhaust and tuned with more torque. It's actually quicker than the Busa over the quarter but can't top out at as high a speed as the Busa. Best thing is the fun in the corners and how much grip it has, followed by how fast you shoot out of the corner. Not to mention most people have no idea what you're riding!
Everyone is hating on the GPX250 because they all own 'real' bikes like gixxers and thou cc things (I also own a 2000 ZX6R btw, and have also had a R6 before that) but your all just comparing it to YOUR circumstances. Yes its a gutless piece of crap when we're used to riding 600+cc sports bikes, but there are thousands of new riders out there, who a gutless 250cc bike is MORE then enough fun and power for. There are 1000's of GPX's of the road, some with a shitload of kms on them and still going strong, and they barely changed in design for over a decade. This is for a reason.
Thanks for the replys guys,
Ended up keeping the VP as the demand for bikes around here is next to none.
Cheers.
