Have to say, they look impressive, and it'll be interesting to see what happens in a couple of years when they go to auction. However I do think it is an epic waste of taxpayer's money - as it is a standard VE SS can hit 250km/h+, I think thats probably fast enough.

I agree, waste of tax payers money for the extra HSV stuff they don't need to catch someone... but i bet they will be popular when they get auctioned..... although the terrible yellow paint may deter some buyers....

Come on JC people... Police are not normal humans, they truly believe they are better than a normal person and so can handle a vehicle @ 250km/h with ease.

We mere mortals are not capable of this sort of thing no matter what training we have had(Even if you have a FIA F1 license) you cannot drive like the Police can.

They admitted on the news the other night that it's more about getting the message out there about road safety, they're painted bright bloody yellow so it's not exactly great for speed traps now is it.
