    Default Police bash hoons

Police busted bashing hoon driver in Mansfield | Herald Sun

While a tad heavy handed I wonder how many issues they had with this clown prior?

I grew up knowing if I screwed up anywhere and police caught me, they would hurt me, so I did my best to stay out of trouble, the fear of being phone booked by police was enough. These days there is zero respect for police and the rising crimes and attitudes toward police really confirm it for me.

Perhaps if people feared being caught doing something wrong there would be less problems in society? Who knows, I do know that with soft policing in the past decade or so Melbourne has become so dangerous and with rubbery reporting figures it is made to look better than it is.

At least you defiantly know they wont do it again after a flogging like that............................... but i'm sure they would have been well compensated by now.

It was a bit over the top and they were a bit heavy handed.

yeah, whilst I don't necessarily condone police bashing people, I can sometimes understand the frustration that leads to it.
I work alongside the coppers a fair bit, and get to see some of the crap they have to put up with. People often bag coppers for seeming too harsh at times, but if you work with them, you get to see just how much they will sometimes put up with from people before they act with force...

They did a skid in front of a cop shop? People like this are the ones who give car enthusiasts a bad name, whether it was a case of police brutality or not, they had it coming.

The New South Wales Police Force has existed in various forms since the foundation of the colony of New South Wales at Sydney in 1788. In order to protect the infant town against thieves and petty criminals after dark, Governor Arthur Phillip authorised the formation of a nightwatch in August 1789, consisting of eight of the best-behaved convicts

not much has changed since then.

Nothing like some good old fashioned police brutality. I think they probably deserved it but seriously how ####ing daft are the cops to not know they have a dash cam rolling? The brutality doesn't worry me but its good that 2 of the stupidest officers in the country are off the job, its scary to think dopey bastards like this have guns.

Very silly by the coppers here. They've got a couple of low lifes on a silver platter, license gone, car impounded, and a few grand worth of fines to go with it and then through lack of discipline they put the hoons in a position where they become the victims.

Doing burnouts in front of the police station is sending a message.

In this case, the cops sent one back. I applaude their actions.

For years now we've been forcing police to use the carrot, this has failed miserably.

Youths have no respect for anyone, criminals are being treated like victims and the police force has become a police service.

Maybe it's time for the stick?

i think there's more to the story than the reliable media chooses to show, the so called "victim" must of done something other than a burnout to warrant a flogging like that especially in front of the camera, but having said that some people need a bit of a touch up.

I'm a bit half/half on this, i agree with minux in the sense that police arn''t respected and don't have as much power as they should, therefore people push the boundries too far and people arn't as scared of the conseqences anymore.

But in another sense i always wondered how long until we became even more "americanized", this video proves that we are still heading in that direction, which is a shame really

I believe we need to go more this way, Police have no authority over anything anymore:

One of my neighbours a while back was having a party, Fight started at about 1.30 AM and the police were called. Next thing there were cops bottom and top of the street blocking everyone from getting out and several police at the house (about 5 cars) the daughter (one 'hosting the party) stayed in side and done nothing while her brother had his head punched in by a bunch of 'LADS' (yeah we all know them).

when the police arrived they pulled the fight apart and the ambulance came soon later. Now all of the scum kids (lads) ran into the house with the daughter while the daughter abused the mother for calling the cops. At one stage in this one of the scum kids spat on one of the cops than ran into the house (as lad kids do) because of the fact that the mother said no more to the cops she did not allow them into the house.

For the next maybe hour or so they yelled and screamed abuse at the police and because it was private property nothing was allowed to be done. No arrests were made and nothing more came from it.
    \
Now this took 7 police cars and maybe 2 ambulances. for no less than an hour maybe 2. Where in my view the cops should have ran in Kicked the #### out of everyone of the little bastards and than dragged the daughter out by her hair, But thats just my view.

Also forgot to mention, Next morning the neighbours fence was down and there were sereral cars in the street damaged.

Pitty they didnt hit them harder...

I tend to think that due to the soft handling from police due this whole 'pc' world everybody seems to want to thrive on thecrims just laugh at the cops and the courts. There needs to be the sense of "if i get caught doing this shit im gonna get my arse kicked" that might slow down the crims a bit,
The cops have to be too nice and the courts hand down piss weak sentenaces so there is no deterrant really.

    just my opinion

    I agree with this.

There are 2 cop cars in the vid... which suggests there was also a chase.

I suspect the sequence of events looked a little like this:

Single pegger in front of station > speed away from location > cop car gave chase > muppets tried to get away on back roads > got caught > started being lippy pricks > received touch up.

Obviously speculation on my behalf, but I can imagine these guys are the "hoon, innocent little hoon drivers" the media is making them out to be.

Either way. Safe to say they won't be doing it again.

punishments need to be harsher, thats y no one cares about the law these days. in australia u can kill someone and go to jail for 'life'.....20 years, how about life meaning til the day u drop dead, or to a more extreme extent, bring back the death penalty. u badly beat someone up, or rape someone, maybe 5-10 years, needs to be more. if the punishment isnt bad enough, a lot more ppl wont hesistate to break the law.

(damn u jester!! beat me to it :P)

This has caused most if not all the problems. The police spend their time, get people convicted and then the crims get off so lightly that no wonder the cops are frustrated, in their minds why bother?

If the courts actually backed the cops and delt with crims properly they wouldn't be anywhere near as frustrated.

Good on the coppers. Bit more of this might instil a bit of fear back into the punks that think they can get away with this shit.
I bet that these wankers think twice before trying to look like tough ####s infront of their mates again.

    I'm for their actions.

My old IT professor used to be a cop, he said back in the day the hardened criminals were scared shitless of the cops. Through this fear they respect them as their nemesis and opposing force not to be messed with.

These days, drunkards and smart arses get away with spitting, swearing and mouthing off at the police to no end of disrespect. I feel sorry for them and do not envy their job. They have so much political red tape, political correctness and ‘human rights’ to have to deal with before they can even fathom doing the right thing for the community in the long run, NOT the individual. This might sound ironic coming from me as I’m usually the first to go off at them for their revenue raising. But at the end of the day, I respect their position of authority and the rules we live by.

This is part of the break-down in society these days, that people do not respect the law in any form unless they have been brought up to do so.

I guarantee you that these punks will think twice before doing that again. BUT, if a court awards them with millions courtesy of tax payer funded money, they’re laughing all the way to the bank. It really won’t surprise me if that happens as well.

But good on them for giving them what for I say. Perhaps if we have ballsy people like this in senior positions Australia might be heading towards a more positive and safe future.

Next time the cops will remember to turn off the dash camera. Good on them I say, little turds probably asked for it. As already said, there is more to this I imagine than a beating for a burnout.

why not just pop out their shoulder when loading them into the cop car ? would be more painful and probly justified.

    This –
"Some will say they got their right whack; some will say people can't be treated like that. Out of frustration, they've acted the way they have."

Police are doing a job. They don’t get to use violence "out of frustration” any more than we should. I understand how they feel and I don’t really care about the odd retard copping a hiding. Some of these people need to see that there are consequences for their actions. But to condone Police “acting out of frustration” sets a precedent and where does the line get drawn?
