The Hubble Deep Field: The Most Important Image Ever Taken - YouTube
i personally thing there has to be some little spec out there that resembles some sort of life atleast.....i mean its way to unlikely we are the only planet that has life out of the billions just in this universe...when there is billions of univereses.
Yea i agree with you there, someone would not just make anal probing up.

Certainly makes our little blue planet seem insignificant.
Also makes you think is the V6-V8 debate really that important.
To me it just seems arrogant of any of us to assume that of all the millions of billions of planets out there, we are the only one with life on it.
Of course aliens exist. Whether they are anything we would even recognise as alive, or if they have any intelligence, or whether its likely they have faster than light spaceships.. they are whole different topics. I am a little skeptical of UFOs, because they would have to travel for sooooo long (using our own understanding of physics anyway..) and are we really worth visiting? And wouldnt you expect them to say hi when they got here?
That said, they of course could have much more advanced science than us, and getting here might be as simple as catching a bus is for us. I wonder if there are tourist adventures to good old Terra Firma ? To me that seems particularly unlikely, since the idea that they would be even vaguely humanoid seems to have no chance in my view.
I have no doubt that many planets are populated with sentient life, but not sure if they will or ever have managed to reach us.
Ponder this:
Maybe life on earth as we know it started from an alien visit.
It would be plausible that they visited millions of years ago, set down, looked around a bit. Sneezed on some part of the ground, then went "F this shitty ass planet" and left. Then that bacteria grew into life as we know it.

plausible yep. likely no, but definitely possible.
Lol i have no sound so ####ed if i know whats going on. Than all of a sudden RANDOM FAT GUY, what is this meant to be proving?
hahaha pickle, it shows how many millions of galaxies there is and how unlikely it is for us to be the only plannet with life.
and i was thinking the same thing, some little bug is classified as life, there has to be some little organism somewhere out there.
But it would go something like this:
How do I make my nuclear fission hover car go faster?
Put a fusion reactor in it bro.
But I'm still on my P's.
Just don't put em up, you'll only get disintegrated if you get caught bro.
"billions of univereses"
Really OP?, what field of study have you undertaken or theses have you studied to determine your view?

How do we know that aliens are more advanced than us? Hell, out of the billions of universes out there, look at us, we're actually pretty advanced from when we started digging holes with sticks in caves. I think there's aliens out there, there's no way we are the only .. Life form, I'll say, in the galaxy.

maybe they dont move around the universe. they make the universe move around them! *futurama reference*
it would be interesting to find some else out there.
to be honest i would love to live in a world like that in futurama *i know cartoon but who cares* it just seems so cool.
also recently in science news they where able to transfer particles faster then the speed of light.
so many the speed of light isnt the fastest you can go.
not trying to start an arguement - in fact to the contrary
but just fyi, a belief in God doesn't necessarily rule out evolution or vice-versa. I believe in both
as for the original post - yeah I have little doubt there is life beyond our little planet!
it would be rather naive to rule out the possibility

Of course there is life on other planets in other galaxies, as mentioned earlier it would be rather arrogant to assume that in the entire universe, Earth is the only planet that is home to intelligent life.
However, I think the mistake that everyone makes in regards to aliens, is thinking that they are going to have far more advanced technology than us. For a while I have had a theory that yes, there IS life on other planets, but the reason we haven't made contact with them, is because our technology is actually far more advanced than theirs. For we know, they may not have even discovered their equivalent to steam power, or the wheel, or even how to make and use tools yet.

Humans have only been around what? few thousand years, when the galaxy is a mere 13 and a half BILLION years old... I don't think our effort of existence will ever see another race of crazy cyborg space travelers.
Would be cool though.

im in the same boat with the evolution and god thing, and you have a point everyone assumes their going to be in flying saucers and have ridiculous things like ant gravity power or something like that, who knows what is out there, could be things that could easily take over our planet if they ever came here, some freakish animals, or some little bug on a planet.
pretty creepy, if there was like, a human sized fly thatd be classified as alien life, wed be ####ed if they came here LOL
Fair enough! I just couldn't be arsed getting into too much detailI probably should have said that if I offend people due to their Religious beliefs, it's my opinion only & they can take it or leave it!
On topic, though, I thought of something just earlier, I'm not 100% on this, but haven't scientists [or whoever researches this type of thing] found life on another planet, as in, plants or something? I dunno if that's defined as "life" persay, but I think I read somewhere that some form of life was found on mars or something? Unless I'm getting it confused with evidence that there COULD be life on mars, or another planet. I can't remember haha.

I watched a program on Mars recently and they were talking about the possibility of 'life on Mars' moreso at micro-bacteria sort of level. Apparently there is evidence that there is water on the planet (could be under the surface), which leads them to the assumption that there could be life of some description. But they weren't suggesting any sort of intelligent beings
