haha dont get me started on lowering blocks.

We even had a guy tell SAPOL that we INSTALLED them in his car.. had cops rock up and do a check on our installing facilities.

The fun thing was we stopped installing any suspension in cars nearly 10 years ago.... and we had that many customers who'd come in and demand we install their suspension. Anyways about a week after we cemented over our pits (it had been our blacksmith area for last 8 years) we have sapol rock up and demand to see our facilities and log book.

Took a call to our mates at regency who came there all the time and even helped develop some of our products to come over and speak to them and tell them that we hadnt installed lowering blocks, supplied lowering blocks or whatever.

Was all due to a tool customer who forced us to reset the camber on his leaf springs and when he got busted for ride height convinced a know-nothing officer that his lowering blocks did it.

So after 5m they left and booked the guy for giving a false statement and in all seriousness dont repco and pedders still sell lowering blocks? its only illegal if you install them.

Just had a read of moogs rant. The bit about aerodynamics reminded me of a classic my brother had at an advanced driving course he did when he got his company car. There was some fully sick bro there in his group with a jap car he kept talking it up telling everyone its an import and he's gonna race it and his turbos this big and his uncles a pro drifter etc. etc.

Well there was a guy there who had raced in the V8's who was an instructor for the course. He had tried to keep his mouth shut but this douche went on all day without stopping and just mentioned racing his import one too many times. The instructor goes "mate, if your gonna race that thing for god sakes take that spoiler off". The bloke got all offended because it was a serious bit of spoiler he had going on and starts saying "na bro you dont know shit it makes downforce so I can corner faster" and went on a big rant about downforce and how this pro driver didnt know anything.

When he finally stopped the BS the instructor goes "A spoiler put on backwards isn't gonna help you a whole lot mate". Turns out this dude had put his spoiler on backwards and had no idea. Everyone in the group laughed at him for ages and this fella was very very quiet for the rest of the course
