Hi all,
Every birthday and Christmas the missus buys me some more tools. Recently she got me a new 9 draw senator box (birthday or anniversary) because my tools were overflowing out of my old 3 draw one.
Got a nice new 30 piece powerbuilt screw driver set for Christmas. But here's what I've got so far.
I plan to have a go at cncing some closed cell foam to hold each tool, but I've been far too flat out at work recently.
very nice! I got the set with the foam inserts to keep everything in place. keeps it neat

yeah I guess you could, try calling kingchrome and asking or go into somewhere that stocks their gear and ask to get in contact with a rep

Very Jealous mate.... Thinking I'm going to need something like that very soon, my Supa tool 6 draw box is only just holding all my tools.
If it's not a Symptom its not relevant, and if its not relevant I don't care!
Cheers. The senator box is so nice. Ball bearing slides and magnetic latching. Cheap because it's blue too.
looks lovely. i like how you kept the pattern of red :P
What is the price total for that?
cheers
i had one of these, was really good but my tools outgrew it and it bought a sidchrome chest and cab. i still have the senator one here somewhere, ill make it my home toolbox someday.

The blue is quite nice I think. And different. Repco have the blue chest on wheels to match it. Very tempted as they keep dropping the price too.
The box was 330nzd.
What's in it? Quick talley is over a grand. And that's through a friends staff price at Repco.
Started with a mechpro 3 drawer box. Came with sockets, pliers, spanmers, screw drivers etc which I think was about 250nzd. Good starting box IMO.
Almost everything in it is now powerbuilt or Repco (lifetime warranty) stuff.
This is my home box. My tools outgrew the 3 drawer box very quickly. Some will start making there way our of this one soon too. Spring clamps already dont fit.
Im pretty sure we can get the foam cut outs from SP and Kincrome. In most instances they come seperate with actual tools, but im sure you could get them without. Ask for EVA inserts I believe they are called in our books.
ive been trying to get my missus on this train of thought for years. im still getting socks and jocks....
dont sweat the petty... pet the sweaty...
Thats a nice tool box mate, so clean
I bought a brand new tool box and tools (total around $3000) for work, and I tried to look after it, but when you work with ***holes its impossible. Over the 4 years the guys I work with "as a joke" (not funny to me at all) poured brake fluid on it, rubbed grease on it and also put grease under the handles, put that silicon stuff in the lock so I couldn't open it, so I spent ages cleaning it out.
So I plan on buying another new tool box but keeping this one at home, and once I leave that place ill clean up all the tools, and replace the ones that are no good anymore. Theres no way i'm getting a new tool box to leave a work, can't trust anyone at that place.
Oh yeah I know what you mean, or if someone borrows a tool they don't put it back where they got it from. Senator is a really good brand and seems to be tough, I think thats the brand of tool box ill be getting next, just need to find out who has them. I think Repco used to sell Senator tool boxes before they started selling their own brand tools.
Does you misses hold, 'what to buy him' classes?
If not, can you suggest it to her?
