unusual pets.

So, i have a small collection of scorpions, picked up 2 more today. figured id post them up. See if anyone else has anything that would be considered unusual


First picture. is of a spider hunter. fairly small, maybe 7 cm's.Second picture is of a desert scorp. she is big, and very aggressive.

Not really unusual, but I have a 5 year old eastern blue tongue lizard and 2 4 year old green tree frogs.

I live in Darwin and have these things running wild in my back yard. When the rains come the Tree Frogs nearly keep you up at night.

I currently have a bearded dragon and two green tree frogs. I used to own a bat and some scorpions in South Africa and my grandmother used to have a chimpanzee some 10 years back.

My wife's grandparents had a sheep living in their house. Used to stare at the tv alot.

sorry, the big one is about 7 cm's the spider under is about 3cm'sish, both with tails curled not straight.

My wife's grandparents had a sheep living in their house. Used to stare at the tv alot.

Did the pet lamb thing a few years back. Was all cute etc till Lamby became a sheep. She used to stand and the back sliding door bleating and head butting the door to be let in. Trouble is sheep pooh constantly so having her inside was very messy. Every now and then she would push past people coming in and run through the house often losing traction on the tiled floor.

After a couple of months I decided the kindest thing all round was to take her back out to the farm. The other option was roast and lamb chops!

My girlfriend who now lives with me came complete with two dogs and three cats.

Nothing unusual there, except that one of the dogs is half dingo, half siberian husky. Amazingly intelligent dog and very obiedient.

He looks 90% like a dingo. I want to teach him to carry a doll around in his mouth when we take him for a walk, however my girl is not so keen to teach him that one

I had 2 pet turtles that were given to me as a gift from my cousin in Canberra. When I tried to register them with the council they told me it was illegal to have turtles as pets in Victoria, so I had to give them back to my cousin.

Pity they were quite interesting to observe.....

In an inside aquarium, i have a yabby as a pet..... eats pieces of carrot, fish flakes, or live guppies.

In another aquarium on my back verandah, i have a de-clawed Blue Yabby, about 8 fresh water prawns.... not so much pets as the inside yabby is..... he has an attitude!!
