Quick FYI for those that like plates with double meanings, the Victorian standard plates are currently in the "YNV" sequence. You won't pay extra for them.
Cheers!

I think his trying to say that the number plates are up to YNV as in "Why envy"
Thank god for that, from all the people that "can't afford" personalised plates...Or is that can afford but choose not to because they are cheaper in America...LOL
Instead of starting a new thread,
What is going to happen once VIC run out of license plates?!? I heard they might not be using ZZZ...

Hopefully they go to 7 letter/number format , which would mean you could get personal plates with 7 letters and could finally get "Trayner"
I'm hanging to see what happensIt'll be good.

How can they only be at YNV when last September when my dad bought his VS SS Ute and got new number plates they are YPZ, and when I got my Magna about a week after he got his Ute and I had to get new number plate, mine start with YQN.
Used to be a HT panel van getting around in Perth(Scarborough) many years ago that sported Tasmanian rego. The plates were blue on white Tassie plates with RTA-XXX. Almost exactly the same colours as the W.A. RTA used on it's cars back then(late 70's) which were all RTA-XXX. Saw it pulled over a few times, poor buggers, talk about cop bait.
Meh, for some kind of special plates though.
All depends which branch of Vicroads the car is registered at. We have just started using YUK-*** at work.
Whoever said 'There is no substitute for cubes' had obviously never heard of Jet power
I saw a plate in Canberra that read YES10D
I was disappointed to see a guy was driving![]()
just registered a porsche 911 carrera S with the plates YUP-XXX. understandably the owner saw them and decided to front the 500 (something) bucks for euro-styles
edit* LOL, our mustang was YUP too!!! way to kill a perfectly good mustang
