new to all this and not smart when it comes to cars i have vt ss s2 and the air isnt working got someone out to see where the leaks r and found out where but then i asked how much to fix and $1800 i think he might be having me on the compresser is fine the leaks r where they but the gas in is this hard to pull out and fix? how much? and the pipes near the compresser thinks it might be where they clamped on

more than likely the compressor mate, very common, i work with air con on cars if you need any pointers

The compressor has a low pressure cut out switch so if there is no gas then no go

wow that was hard to read lol, its hard to diagnose aircon problems over the internet. looking at the pic it looks like there is alot of oil around the service port, could be as simple as a faulty schrader valve but its hard to say. i would say get a second opinion from someone else if you can.
