Very interesting read >>> Migrants leaving Australia - Today Tonight
yeah good riddance to the lot of them
do your research before you move here you idiots
It's a shame it'll only be the ones who we want to encourage to stay who are going to leave - the less desirable ones will continue to hang around unfortunately.
Oh well, they won't be missed. Maybe, just maybe, it might now be possible to get a job in IT without requiring 20+ years of experience working at NASA programming Space Shuttles.

and the english blokes just pissed cos we have higher work standards..
but they arent even the people we want gone, its the people who fled there country cos of war, and come here carrying knives and guns.
Problem seems to be they all moved to Perth![]()
so people complain about the high price of coming here?
have they not looked at the dollar? =P
i just dont understand why people complain about it.
obviously they feel homesick and want to go home. quite simple.
no need to make a song and dance about it.
I had a friend back at uni first time around who would do nothing but complain about - our cars, our roads, our shopping, our tv, our politicians, our culture, our attitude to work etc. On more than one occasion I jokingly suggested that if he don't like it he should go. Well, after getting his degree in OH&S, could not find job here (his marks were not great), he left for the UK......
maybe aussies can get aussie houses an have aussies doing aussie jobs.god this country is joke they call us racist yet we treat the immigrants like kings.
good on them for taking the iniative to actually leave
nothing worse than immigrants who whinge about how crap it is in Australia but continue to live here.
at least these people are leaving.
Don't understand it personally. I moved here from London over a year ago (Aussie wife) . Before deciding to move I came over twice before to make sure it was right for me.
I'd never go back, sure, it costs a bit more but it's all worth it!
Most other countries are on there arse.
Don't let the door hit you on the way out!Great news to read on Australia Day!
And they're now saying that it's racist to have the Aussie flag on my car for Australia day!!!!!!! Soon it'll be racist to be Aussie.
It is important to note that these people mentioned in the article are caucasian types who came here on working visas. Mentions nothing about 3rd world refugee types. Why all the joy from a certain few? These would be the christian non-muslim types that those spam emails say we should have here :P
“I often think that Australia could well do to have an emigration policy as well as an immigration policy,” Professor Hugo said.
Fix the cost of living here before you fix any im/e-mgration policies.... surely it's not as bad as they make it out to be... We're dealing with it after all. But if I could save a dollar here and a dollar there it would add up.

Good riddance? Wrong.
These are the kind of immigrants we want, they're not a burden on the system, they're qualified and willing to work hard for what they want. But in Australia our system pays the immigrants who will be a consistent burden.
Thats exactly right. I just went and did some work for a Japanese family who have just bought a farm 100km from town, they work from 6-6 every day without a handout in sight. Personally I'd rather deport half of the AUSTRALIANS in my town before these guys were forced to leave.
I had a flatmate like that.He moved here with big dreams of making heaps of money and living the life. Then reality set in, haha.
We asked when he got here if he had enough cash to support himself while he was looking for work, Said he had a little.2 weeks later he couldnt pay rent or help with the bills.
He finally got work after being a lazy prick for several months, Then couldnt stop complaining about how things are done here.
Eventually we asked him to leave. If people dont like it here then good ridance, They can go else where and complain.
I know someone though that moved to aussie, got a job in the mines then after a month or two got a job drive an SS commodore filling fire extinguishers.........
But you need that motivation to get anywhere, it doesnt heap we had dumb ass people here spreading shit like "move to aussie! I know a guy who knows a guy who knows a guy that was walking the street and got asked if he wanted a job!!". (if its that good why are you still here in NZ......)
Wow i cant belive you put up with him for several months.
