at no point did I stereotype all aboriginals.
as said, I'm referring specifically to the clowns burning the flag. And that goes for the idiots at that protest yesterday too.

I don't get why people want to ban flag burning. What diff does it make if someone burns their own property? I'm sure a lot of flags are thrown out and end up in the tip, is that bad too? It's a piece of material, what difference does the pattern on it make if you own it and want to burn it? That being said, they probably would have no fun burning it if over sensitive people didn't spin about it.

Edit: If you banned flag burning I bet you'd see more of it because it would make more of a statement.

your body is your own property, but it's illegal to run around in a public area naked

but hey I don't think we can really ban burning the flag, because people like this would just find another way like pissing on it or something.. You can't force people to respect something. However, it isn't unreasonable that people are offended by such behaviour. Imagine the Australian soldiers who have fought and even died defending our country under that flag. How do you reckon they (and/or their families) feel when some bunch of morons burn it...

I was absolutely disgusted to see a 10 or 12 year old kid spitting on the flag. He probably has no idea what te protest was about and is only following the disrespectful behavior of the (so called) adults around him.

I bet if a bunch of masked white Australians posted a video on YouTube where they pissed, shit and spat on the aboriginal flag and then burnt it they would be promptly arrested.
