Non-commodore owners

Heyhey Everyone
fourstar82's thread about his camry inspired me to write this one
I've noticed an increasing number of people on here that don't have commies but instead other cars... eg camrys, lancers etc.
Just wondering if you guys are members cos you can't find forums for the cars you own, or if your geniune love lies within commodores but you don't currently own one?
Is this the case?

This place is awesome for advice.. I steered my Ford loving friend here. None of his questions got answered on the Ford Forum, it's like they know nothing about cars..

He just did a search and came up with a few answers..

I always get good advice form this forum.. It's been invaluable and saved me at least a few hundred..

I generally get asked to come into a forum and spout sh...er.. give advice. Personally, I wouldn't own a commodore but I can almost guarantee that I have spent more time under the dash of one then most people on here have spent driving their commodore!

Yeah in the ford forum. Half of the things are about GM being shit.. They bash Holdens and Commodores all the time..

Yep, i am all holden, but i go for the odd drive in my oldies BA Fairmont every now and then just to understand why i like holdens Everyone is entitled to their own choice in car as everyone is entitled to bag their choice of car

You don't have much ford bashing in that thread as their were MANY MANY posts deleted by moderators . You get your fair share of ford bashing here, and since i'm a Ford owner, i tend to notice it alot more as a few of the posts have been directed towards myself, but that's expected with any car forum, and compared to some other forums, it's a pretty friendly environment.

I used to go on a certain other holden forum aswell, but their were way too many uneducated 14yo wankers their posing as 25yo and polluting threads with bullcrap, hence i went searching for another commodore forum and found this one, which is why i'm here now

Yer i like most cars but there is just somthing about holden that keeps me into them(I think its the V's under the bonnet at full noise :P).

I love my Holdens.. Especially my Holden..

But my friends AUIII, its acceleration response kills my VXII.. You just touch the accelerator and it moves, it also moves very easily..

My car the accelerator is a lot stiffer and doesn't seem to respond as well.. Can anyone think of a reason for this?

And I'll go on record to say that if I had to buy a new car tomorrow, I'd probably choose the BA over the VZ.. It's tiptronic. It's like the best of both worlds.. I've had lots of fun with BA's.. Holden should release a tiptronic car..

I own a 04 mini cooper s chilli (1.6l supercharged), and a 78 2 door torana with a 5L VP engine and my girlfriend has a VP 6 cyl Berlina, Weird mix of cars hey! I usually swing between forums, the torana one is really good, not just for rana's too. LOT of knowlage there.

Well when I joined (bout 2 or 3 yrs ago i think), I had a 96 VS Acclaim which i had until about 3/4 months ago when the transmission died and it was decided it wasn't worth fixing so it was traded in for a new CDXi Astra for my mum and I got her Camry. I miss the VS alot, but the one good thing about the Camry is that it uses less fuel, which is a big plus with fuel prices at the moment!!! I did find a Camry forum to find some info on how to do stereo stuff. Its crap though, and besides, this is a fun place to be and hopefully in a few years I'll have a Commodore again

Yeah, Ilike the sound of the V8 under my hood as well. But it's not LS1 or LS2...it a noce and simple MAGNUM 5.9L weapon and a half. That can move two and half tonnes of truck across a 1/4 in 16secs. Not bad for it's weight....
