my dad says can't have any RED light emiting from the front of your car... So i might try the blue ones, & put the red ones wired as an interior light or something.

i had ones that flashed red and blue but i took them out for plain blue ones, it was hilarious pulling up at the local weekly car meet up which had no street lights and put the parkers on and watch everone get in their cars

Let me put it this way...

...when you pass the first police car, you wouldn't get fifteen meters before the result being like John Holmes doing you up the date using Dencorub Deep Heat as a lubricant... :my:

i had green ones, and they weren't noticeable from the front when driving with the headlights on. from the side though, which is where the police would see you from, the whole headlight was green.

when i realised this they came out pretty quickly.

On a related topic, does anybody actually use their parking lights? With me I only use my headlights. Never use the parkers..

    Cool

Rarely use them....sometimes I flick them on/off/on/off when I see another commo coming towards me... but I never leave them turned on when I am parked somewhere...................

in the vh, the parkers come on with the headlights. as a result the colour of the globe affects the colour of the headlight itself, but not the actual light emitted if you get what i mean. I had half dead orangy ones in there so my headlights were orangy tinged. put the green ones in and they went light green. now it has the ice blue thingy ones.

Parkers as Aussies call them, stay on ALL the time when the headlight switch is on park, low or high-beam.

The fine for having a front park (position/sidelight) light other than 'white optic' is low, in the order of $70 here in NSW, so if your feeling lucky, by all means! (Not recommended).

On the other hand, if you add a 'blue' light to the front of the car, be that a replacment park bulb, or other, CAN land you in greater trouble with criminal sanctions quiet possible. One should not make them selves out to be police.

On using park lights: I use parkers alone with front fog lights, keeping low beam off when visibility is particularly bad. Or, on some cars when parked at night in 'tricky' positions, as required in the Australian Road Rules.
Purchase a hazard-warning triangle for your car to improve the warning given to approaching traffic at both crash scenes and vehicle breakdowns. Keep it in the boot. I suggest Hella Part Number 2901 - $70, OR http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/onl...215554#details. Accepted under AS3790. http://www.transport.wa.gov.au/media...eSafePart4.pdf
