Agree wholeheartedly. They stuffed me around repeatedly with my homeloan, approval was fine but they kept losing/forgetting to submit the house plans. And then it got held up because they forgot to value the house. I eventually got the Banking Ombudsman involved - that works a treat!! Don't get me started about the difficulties when I recently paid off a very large chunk of the mortgage...

Unfortunately I get a professional discount with them (fixed rate of 6.44%) and with the amount I used to owe on the mortgage I was saving big dollars through them (about $2000 per year). I had no choice but to put up with their incompetency or pay more money elsewhere!!

Back to the topic, I just checked Netbank and thought I wouldn't remember the answers to the questions but all ok seeing as you can frame the questions yourself.

hate them too. had an issue with a closed account. apparently i never asked for it to be closed (i know i closed it!) they actually used the police to find my new addy cos the account fees had ran up a considerable debt. a bit of arguing and they agreed on some closing fee of $7. so i guess that was good. shouldnt have cost me anything anyway!

ive found banks more helpful if you can actually get down to the branch and speek to people. they go to great lengths to avoid you making a scene in their building.

I get hissy at talking to a bloody computer about your personal details to "check" your account details... I end up calling it names then it says "Im sorry I did not understand you, please state your date of birth ....blah blah"
