Workshop Manager of an Automotive Air Conditioning Company in South East Queensland. Same company for 7.5 years, and counting.............. and counting........and counting!!!!!

Doing A/c on and off since '88.

Prior to this I was in the 4th year of an Automotive Mechanical Apprenticeship, got sick of the grease and lack of money.

Also had my own Lawn mowing run, approx. 100 customers, and have done some sales stuff and had a stint repairing computers for a while. Theres nothing like life to stuff you around!

Hope to shift to Perth and start something of my own .........soon.....very soon!!!!

    cheers all. Guy.

120 in a 100 zone.....Sorry officer....I thought you where trying to give my wife back!!!!

Spent 12 years as a trade qualified Chef, first 4 of those as apprentice.

Due to the agro, and general bad enviroment of kitchens, I decided to throw it in for the sake of my family ( mrs, 9yrs & 5yrs. )

Now working in a leading Sunshine Coast Bottleshop / Liquorbarn. Have been for the past 6 months, love it, will NEVER return to another kitchen!!!

Well my main work is a Home Entertainment and Office specialist, I basically setup and sell products and give demos. Changed from car stereo which i originally got into.

I also had a stink as an auto-electrician, and still do a bit of work for a Taxi company in Melbourne but couldn't stand doing it full time as it's really repetitive and very aggrivating staring at wiring diagrams for all these new comp controlled cars all the time.
Can be a very rewarding job, and my mates love me for it.

Also in a band who plays originals and covers, and we play live about once a week, sometimes more.

Also used to work as cabinet maker but couldn't stand all the dust, carpark attendent, umm and valet parker (lasted a whole 2 weeks).

I finished school (HSC) in 93 then did a horticulture course in 94 after deferring first year graphic design. Since halfway thru 95 I've been working as a technical assistant in a geological exploration/mining firm.

I am currently an Electronics technician (boffin) in the Army. I'm getting a little bored with it and may Xfer to become an Electrician soon. I am also a qualified car detailer, having got my certificate at tafe and worked in the industry for a couple of years.

hey vsberli, just be carefull, when you transfer yoru muster from et over to electricain, if you leave the service, you will not have any civilain qualifications at a electrican on the outside, this has happend to me, i was a et in the navy, when i left, (nov 2000) i have no formal qualification, as a result, im doing my apprenticeship all over again. just a thought.

Hi there GARTH, thanks for the pointer but the services have changed in recent years and all trade qualifications gained are tafe approved and certified (nationaly). My ET trade certificate is from RMIT even though i gained it through a defence establishment, (just to clear things up).
