Hi All,
Just wondering what everyone's thought are on the punishment for my charges and situation;
I'm on an alcohol interlock and haven't driven a car in almost 2 years, BUT,
I was at the pub the other weekend, stayed til stumps, was pretty drunk.
Walking home or somewhere with a mob of people that also left the pub as it closed, and a couple of the blokes rocked up on a moped, at the time it was bloody hilarious!! A few people egged me on to jump on and have a go(couple of laps in the pubs carpark), turned out I was too drunk to even get it going, so once again started walking and a few minutes later the police rocked up, out of about 9 people they picked me to head back to the station with them, at the time I thought it was just for DnD, turns out I was being charged for theft of motor vehicle and drink driving(blew .22).
The entire situation was unexpected and unintended, but drunk people do stupid things.
Anyone think I'll get away without serving an imprisonment term?? or thoughts on pleading guilty/not guilty?
Cheers in Advance!

Probably best to speak to a lawyer, any advice you will get on here will just be opinion.

so you're getting charged with theft of a motor vehicle and drink driving, but you were on foot when they picked you up? more to the story? they got some sort of proof for the charges?

I hope not. Plead guilty because you are guilty. You sound like one of those people who only learn the hard way. A good ass pounding in prison might get you to realise you have a significant drinking problem that needs addressing.
