YES!!!!! Astroboy is coming to the big screen! About damn time!

There are dozens of classic movies and cartoons which would benifit from the latest special computer effects.
I am thinking of how well the "recreation" of King Kong went...it wasn't a modernised "remake", but a retelling of the movie in the original time setting but with current realistic effects.
I would like to see old stuff like Clash Of The Titans, Sinbad, things like that, that used stop-motion animation, redone with top-shelf computer effects. TV shows could be stuff like Captain Scarlett and the like.

    ...erm....now I'm showing my age.....

Yep, I too will be lining up to see Transformers and Astroboy...

As for Initial D, I just saw the Hong Kong live action movie. If you don't mind reading subtitles, it's great. I couldn't believe they used real cars and really did all the driving...no computer effects, no special stripped down stunt cars with a roll cage and space frame. In fact, I don't think there were any roll cages at all from what I could see in the special features on the DVD...movie stars and stun men come cheap over there I suppose... :my:
Fantastic action, loved seeing the old AE86 Corolla kicking the arse of the Skylines and Evos...very close in style and general "look and feel" to the anime comics as well. Well worth a look, even if you aren't a "ricer" fan...if only for the amazing (and real!) driving.
