What p#ss@s me off is drivers with "baby on board" signs in the back window that travel at excessive speed, changing lanes without looking or signalling and with a mobile phone to their ear. They don't give a s#%t about anybody else but "hey you had better watch out for me because I have a baby on board"
have you sen how the people with disability stickers on their car's drive? almost as bad as cabbies
Irresponsible drivers are everywhere and display a wide variety of signs whose message, (or feelings that would like to convey through that message), they seem to totally ignore. It's like they are saying "do what I say not what I do" and want everyone else to take due care while they proceed to do the opposite.
I was behind a truck that had a speed limited to 100kph sign on the back but my speedo which was accurate to 2kph read 131kph. Go figure.
thats because they ahve an excuse if they crash.....Originally Posted by shiatan

What p&*%@ me off is when people in the cbd of my town take up both lanes when they're driving, they hang their wheels just over the broken line so you can't get past. Grrrrr!:b:

i think i read on here somewhere that when trucks calibrate the 100max system they do it with the smallest wheels any tyres possible, then upgrade to larger wheels therefore allowing them a higher speed with an innacurate speedo of course.Originally Posted by MOTIV8

Saw a funny thing, if you find irony funny (i do, i dont find the kids death funny, more a wake up call to the other young wankers on bikes around here...) A young lad, doing nearly double the speed limit on an overpowered motorbike killed himself against a car.
All the kids who know him have been putting his name and racing number with RIP on their cars, clothes and random things around the city. The ironic part was someone (withough thinking no doubt) put one of these stickers on a speed limit sign...... :my:
What gets me ticked off is 1, piece of shit cars on the road, like full on rust buckets and 2, is about seatbelts.. When i say put ur seatbelt on, someone responds f**k the law... and im say wtf, i dont put my seatbelt on for the law, i doit to keep me safe!
lol yeah, i had one of my little brothers friends, under 16, refuse to put one on cos he "knew someone who got killed cos they were wearing one".
Being his age i would get the fine for him not wearing one. He wouldnt wear it so he got out and walked.... and missed his train. idiot.

In effect she treated this more as a give-way sign.
Incredulous at the officer at his actions in fining her, he merely stated firmly "the word is STOP - S.T.O.P".
So, yes, it does happen.
Purchase a hazard-warning triangle for your car to improve the warning given to approaching traffic at both crash scenes and vehicle breakdowns. Keep it in the boot. Southern Expressway is great for that. Two cars side by side doing 99kph, passing numerous signs that read 'keep left unless overtaking.' Some of them just don't get it despite you flashing the headlights and waving them to the side. They look at you in the rear view mirror as if to say 'what? I am doing the speed limit!'

For Detroit, cummins, cat etc to calibrate this way is against the law, when the speed limiter is set it MUST use the same wheels otherwise the company can and will eb fined for breaches of this. The reason trucks can do it is an electronic pulse that overides everything, its kind of easy to pick up when the truck is doing 2300 rpm at 99 km/hOriginally Posted by vlv8vic
hmm well the person posting the info i cited must be misinformed....
