Is it just my warped paranoid mind?
I was identified as a Taxman and since then I have had no posts following a post of mine that refer to my post at all.
Previously I have been told I am incorrect, a fool etc but now nothing.
Is it just coincedence? Maybe my posts are too bad to warrant a reply.

Not really concerned, just had nothing to post and was bored.

when you do taxman training do they teach you how to handle insults?

Not as such, but we have a section of training called "Dealing with difficult clients".
We just stick to the facts and the insults usually stop. We can't get into arguments or we end up with no job. I enjoy the challenge when I get an abusive caller.
Most common statement heard is "Look Fwit/Dhead/Mfkr/etc my tax pays your wages, you don't know what it's like to pay tax". This generally comes from those that have paid no tax, ever, which is a laugh. Sad but true.

Ok to not pay tax don't earn or receive any payment from any source. Easy.

Creating your own religion is just "one of those stories" I'm afraid. A Church, or what is appropriate for the given religion, still must pay tax on it's earnings. Donations that are for the upkeep of the Church and the welfare of the Priest, Pastor etc are generally not taxable but there is a very fine line. You cannot have your pay paid as a donation to a Church claimed as a deduction if you are a beneficiary of that Church, it then becomes fully taxable again with penalties for an incorrect claim.
Think on the positive side, your's and other's taxes, including mine, provide the roads for us to drive our cars on (though some roads are crap).

Ring the ATO or lodge a request for a ruling. 10% GST is cheaper than the 21% sales tax pre GST on similar items. Remove GST from $23.00 and it then costs $20.90. Not much of a saving but still a saving.
I believe there are many items that should be excluded from GST.
You could also speak to your local MP or the Taxation Ombudsman.
