With the 6 speed auto, why do any work, consistent low 13 passes would suit me fine.

Anyways, there was as many idiots posting on here as there was on the ford forums. People always have their likes and hates, i dont mind the fords, i almost bought myself a FPV GT-P, decided against waiting to see what the VE would offer.
People saying their stock VN's almost beat XR6T's off the lights or on rolling starts is just comical, do it on a racetrack then see the differences.

why do they make such a point of mentioning the rb30 is a nissan engine? afaik no vehicle other than the holden vl ever left the factory wearing one of these engines. and I know of no xr6t pre-dating the BA falc, so how can they be compared to a vl? sure the falc is heavier than the vl, but the power to weight is still in favour of the vehicle not built 20 years ago.
and the comment about loving VL's because they are power by a skyline engine is just BS. the skylines had either the 2, 2.5 or highly saught after 2.6l, never a 3l, so he's right, but wrong.

personally, I'm sick of the holden vs ford BS. I'm a hardened holden fan, cemented even more by driving a stock XE wagoon and dragging a ebxr6, and winning. I almost guarentee that if we were on a designated "go fast and stop 400m down there" road, then it would be different, but to beat a car 10 or so years newer is just wrong, and I've been known to eyeball FPV's (no other blue oval even warded a sideways glance except for the driver bein a ********).
at the end of the day, no car is fast without $$$ put in, even the imports

And that motor they've got is ancient it IS based on the old 3.0l from the 1960's just heavily modified over the years with lots of revisions and peices added to it. but yet they claim its a "new" motor roflmfao. they'll be rolling it out for another 20 years look its new hahahahahahahahahaha. They are one of the only companies in the world to still use a straight 6, why do you think that is? hmmmmmmm

i love all sorts of cars. but i've been in faster stock cars than them. of course a vlt stock won't stand up to a BA turbo. and i don't think the VE will have anything on a FPV GT-P.

I think I'm still a member of those forums, I signed up around the time the xr6t first came out so I could look into it a bit more and get some ideas as to what mods people were doing.

If that thread were still open I was going to reply saying that... That they'd dropped to the very same level that they were paying us out for. Laughing at us yet at the very same time sounding like a bunch of idiots. Granted there are many in that thread that make decent points, but the majority are just getting on the bandwagon.

Was good to see some intelligent posts in there. Unfortunately I had to laugh at alot of it.

You just feel like goin in and revvin em up...fords = slow, im dissapointed in kw to weight ratio...readin up on the au 98-02 standard six 157kw??? And they have nothin but problems, they had to recall over 200000 au's to fix power steering problems. Was in a crx one night, we tied with a taxi that was goin for it.

I'm tossing up between a cheap au(mums car) get it fully bodykited and chipped, vlt or vl with upper class engine or r33 onwards, maybe a gts-4. But it just doesn't seem like its worth it, depriciation in value for the falcons over commys.

But they're proud of their xr6t as much as we're proud of our vlt...but because there is only 10+ years in the creation of each, it'd only be fair if we put the rb26dett in the vl to verse the almighty xr6t. Lets see who'll be gettin their arse raped then.
