Ok , is anyone interested in finding out just what gains are made with bolt on mods ...

Extractors - 2.5inch Cat Back - CAI - Air filter - Throttle Bodies [ Larger ] - High ratio Roller's - and home made snorkles - etc

This would mean : Member-s with stock car-s , adding bolt on bits , and then dyno testing - Before and after mod .....

And building a Data base of Gains made for all to see , etc .

Time to put a end to the BS , and see whats real or not !

Im fishing here , to see what sort of interest there is out there !

Lets put some KW's to those mods !

This could be organised. Simply we organise one car to base it on, (I say a VN-VR most common), everyone pools there add-on's and split the costs of the dyno runs.
Leave the car strapped down on the dyno the whole time.
We could even look at getting the dyno shop to sponsor it, supply free dyno time in exchange for advertising on JC.......

errr how can it work, one car has exhaust and cai done and gets 12 rwkw another could get 16. There are too many differeng variables, every mod to every car is slightly different

2nd - Mods - Heck im not paying for your mods [ ShtFbrains ] - but if you need help installing high ratio rockers or CAI , this can possibly be done

Now I dont know how many members are on here , but if 10 people cough up $20 for Dyno time , thats $200 towards a Dyno ...

No two engine will do exactly the same thing - We all know this ? Dont we !

What we want is a "BALL PARK FIGURE" Which is why the car must be Dyno'ed before any mods ....

So whats needed is a member with a Stock V6 who plans on doing the basic - Extractor + Exhaust - CAI - Airfilter Mods , same car could be used to test those bored out Throttle Bodies .. Same goes with some one doing a Roller Rocker change over , dyno before and after ...

im certainly prepared to help change the rockers , and dontate money towards Dyno costs ...

Even if you had a database full of this info, it's only gonna give you the same info you can already get from a manufacturer or supplier!

Just read about the K&N airfilters on the web , and what indipendant tests show ..... Time to cut through the BS ..... One test shows 10HP Gains , another shows 0 Hp gains , and yet another shows the paper filters are 5 Hp better than K&N .... Truth is like BS , just depends on who is showelling it !

If you think im going to trust some one who's making millions from selling a product , think again !

I still remember when ASUS made a dud Mother board , on guy in NZ insisted it was a good board and slagged be all over his BBS for saying the ASUS board had problems ... Well - time proved me correct , but this guy had a warehouse with 1000+ Asus boards to sell , so he had a lot invested in this board , I almost got on a plane to NZ to smack him in the mouth for his BS slaggin of me ... Never ever trust some one with his finger in the pie , a lot of the time the truth is not in there best interest .....

So , for those interested in knowing what gains there are for our V6 Holdens , well , either we find out , or live in La La land .... Myself , I hate La La land , cos its the La La people that Voted in John Howard , its the La La people who thought it a good idea to sell our national assets ....

Guess we might need another dyno day ....

Or find a dyno shop prepared to help ...

So for me - there is no need to hurry , If [ when ] we organise another dyno day , I guess we can show up [ many hands make light work ] and help anyone who wants to do a pre and post mod run .. [ Bolt on mods ]

Be it CAI , Airfilters , Throttle Bodies , Roller Rockers , hehehehe , bit of free labour , when it comes to exhausts ? I guess we could offer Financial compensation for Dyno ...

The more people that get involved , the better ...

And before people start posting they cant afford to do this or that , ill just say that $5 wont kill you - it might mean one less pack of smokes , or a can of beer less , and if your into drugs , well $5 wont be missed ....
