    Default I'm over it.

    Geez some people are w4nkers.

Saw a VT last night, but didn't initially pick it as such because the owner had put a VY Clubsport bodykit on it. I dunno what gets into people, but the rounder shape of the VT/VX does not go well with the squared-off appearance of this particular bodykit. It makes the VT door mirrors look out of place.

He also had Monaro taillights *yawn* and had removed the V6 Ecotec badges from the side of the car, so that "you can't tell its not a V8"... Except for the 1.5" exhaust pipe with a fully sic 5" tip... He had a really lame custom rego plate which made me wanna punch the guy in the nose.

To top it all off, he drove like a maniac, cutting people off (including me) without using indicators.

Guess what was on display in the back window??? You guessed it. A bright red P plate.

Just what the world needs. Another tryhard P plater driving a V6 "Clubsport".

Anyhow, that's my rant for this week...

i drove a VR that looked like a "clubsport" on my P's, dont see how it makes people a wanker just for driving a car. Fair enough if they are cutting people off and the like! But just for having a car that is kitted up, or has a sports exhaust or custom rego hell even bloody neons if thats what floats your boat !

I've never understood the "look at me" mentality. I'd rather have a car that goes fast but looks ordinary than the other way around...

I got a shock this morning too. Saw a Subaru WRX with its stock exhaust. Not a cannon in sight. Almost fell outta me car...

dont get me wrong i aint having a dig. I was just sayin that just just for having a car that in someones eyes is poxy or rice or whatever dosent mean that they are a tool(in most cases they might be) but its still a big generalisation. And yer a rex without a cannon is rare.

For some people it's their dream to have a done up car, and for whatever reason (cash, can't drive on Ps) they can't so they do the next best thing, IMO nothing wrong with it unless they badged it up as a clubsport or something (degrades the clubby name when it gets pwned by a rice burner and they brag about how they just beat a "clubby")

Now the cutting people off, I hate it.. need some sort of thing that makes driving an emotionless experience for these people lol.. inflated ego "gonna beat you to the next set of lightes uleh"

Calm down. I was just letting off some steam... No need to take it personally, unless you fit this exact description...

    Dave,
The P Plater bashing is rising because so are wank driving P Platers. In the last 2 weeks my brother has fined and is sending to court 14 people for dangerous driving etc etc. All but 1 is a p plater, the other was a P Plater who had lost his licence already. Of the 14, 11 drove holdens.

Myself just last night was driving along when a VS Style Statesman went flying past me, when i say flying i would say no less than 150 km/h in a 50 zone. Once again a Red P Plate blazing on the rear window. The fact is, so many young people think they are invincible these days. the generalisation of P Platers is no longer one of being keep clear new driver, its now keep clear ******** driver.

If they want to do that to THEIR own cars.. They bloody well can..

They're the ones paying their hard earned money for the vehicles and it's there for them, not to impress you...

And what exact description? I probably fit it.. A P plater driving a VT/VX that doesn't look like it belongs to a family? Cosmetically done up..

So I will choose to take it personally..

I dont understand why it has to be pointed out that it was a P plater? That has no bearing on the story............
P platers driving like tools always stands out as there is a bright red P in the window...........no one ever notices the full licensed tools.

Young guys always think they're invincible till cold hard reality hits them in the face... it's no different since when we we kids... but I think when we were younger we lived in a bit more fear of a thrashing from our fathers if we did anything wrong and he found out... how times change.

I do. But they're usually sitting in the right hand lane of freeways doing 85km/h instead of cutting people off & driving like maniacs.

Could we maybe just make the point that we are all sick of dangerous driving. It doesn't matter if its done in a 180b or a VT SII VXKit HSV NNA (insert any other three letter word here). Dangerous driving is dangerous driving. Im pretty sure there is an equal amount of fully licenced tools to p-platers tools. However, im not a statistition...so i dont know that for sure. What i do know is that namoi robson(Today Tonight VIC) makes the point of ignoring thoese probably equal numbers.

Im not gonna lie..ive been a tool before...i went from a bike(naturally aspirated..lol..) to a 3.8ltr beast..the fastest stock model as well...GO THE VP!!! Difference is i dont do it all the time.

So, everyone can stop bagging the P platers, but stop bagging the fully licenced as well. Just bag the ****ers who indanger our lives everyday.
