Hi All,
I'm just after people's opinions on a GOOD QUALITY trolley jack for use at home. I have a budget of $500 max, and want something that can fit under a lowered car with ease. Please post your opinions on brands, model and price.
Thanks Guys
eBay has a number of these alloy ones for a few hundred. Then there is Total tools which have all sorts of stuff I haven't seen before.

Get a jack that takes you 5-10 pumps to jack it up, not like 20 pumps it takes other cheap ones.
Armstrong. I have one and swear buy them for bang for your buck. Fully rebuildable and Aussie made.
Nike is the US brand thats way cool.
After having a Chinese made jack fail on me I would recommend that you never buy a Chinese made jack. The major reason for this is the Austalian importers insist on the cheapest stuff China makes. Rather than the expensive gear.
Oh and always use chassis stands. They save lives.
Yeah, I saw the Armstrong ones in the Total Tools catalogue I think it was. Do you know much they are worth, especially one that would fit under a lowered car?Originally Posted by Snap

I think mines the M800 or something like that. It fits under my VY2 with FE2.
When I work on mates Supra's wtc (which are very very low) I simply put a board of wood down and drive the car on top to get that extra inch or so.
I got mine for $215. You'll probably find them cheaper but there very hard to come by in Perth.
Give them a call.Originally Posted by Harvs82
Thanks very much to everyone for their input. Looks like the Armstrong one is the one to go for, not as expensive as I first thought too.
The M800 was one of the ones I was looking at, and as long as it fits under a car with FE2, which mine has, then I'll be right.
Cheers Guys
