    Default Comedy Albums

Hey y'all, just wondering if there are any stand up comedy fans hanging around the forums here. If so, what who do you guys enjoy listening to on CD albums and can you suggest some that will make me laugh. I already listen to:
    - Bill Hicks
    - Denis Leary
    - George Carlin
    - Lewis Black
    - Bill Cosby
    - Eddie Murphy(although it's probably better to watch eddie rather than just listen to his material.
    - Dane Cook
    - a little bit of Richard Prior(couldn't find much of his stuff up for download)

So make some suggestions if ya can. Cheers

    Cheers for replies.

Yer I love Billy Connolly, I already seen a couple of his DVDs a few times, they were good. I remember seeing the Chris Rock Bigger and Blacker on Comedy Channel one time if I remember correctly it was pretty damn good too! I completely forgot about Chris Rock until you mentioned it, thanks.

Never been a huge fan of Robin Williams as a stand up for some reason, same with Hughesy, he's good on the Glass House and Before the Game and any other time he's "unplanned" so to speak but having seen him live before and his sets on television, he uses the same material all the time, you'd think he'd have a better routine by now.

Depends what kind of comedy you like to listen to.
Billy Connolly, Eddie Murphy, Carl Barron etc are good. But I also enjoy crude stuff like Rodney Rude, Kevin Bloody Wilson and John Valby.

Yeah, I should have explained it, but the reason I want it as audio only, like on CD is - for travelling long trips alone, if I listen to music I get bored and drowsy, when I listen to comedy albums it keeps me awake and gives me something to engage my mind on while driving.

I'll give a few of the suggestions a go.

if you have imesh or kazaa just download them. you can also get the video file and rip the audio on windows movie maker. i can do stephen lynch's songs for you and email them to you a couple at a time. all my others are too big to email.

Yeah, I was gonna say Rodney Rude and Carl Barron - totally different styles as comedians, but both fantastic. Saw Rude in concert a couple of mths ago, was a good night, funny bugger, he is.

Yeah, I usually use soulseek, I can get a hold of pretty much anything, I was just looking for different ideas. I just got some Ron White, he's a pretty funny bloke.
