Hey all, I'm curious at to what everyone here listens to when cruising. Do you listen to a favourite radio station, a specific CD, or anything you feel like at the time?
I just usually listen to the radio unless I'm in the mood for something specific.
depends which car. mine? if bub's in the car it's whatever but quiet. just me, metal and loud
mum's? just radio. no cd player

For road cruising, love to listen to anything classical, mozart, bach, tchaikovsky....real music.
depends on the mood really, sometimes i listen to the old one hit wonders i compiled on a cd, other times its something from the ministry of sound or various other house mixes.
I think there is also an aussie mix cd in there as well, good old accadacca and some Johnny
heavy metal, Pantera, Mettalica, Black sabbath, Iron Maiden.
Favourite being Pantera's Mouth for war f***ing hostile, Metallica's unforgiven 2, iron Maiden's Paschendale and Journey man. Basically anything with a good mix of ele. guitar and drums
ACDC, Alexisonfire, Thrice, Thursday, Parkway Drive, Dream Theater, Disturbed, A Perfect Circle, Muse, System Of A Down, Korn, Papa Roach, Saosin...
Just named the ones i mainly listen to, plenty of others

I reckon (for long drives) you need something a little more relaxed than the headbangin/doof doof.
two cd's i recommend: The Mountain Goats - The Sunset Tree, and the v8 supercars album, old cheesy driving/rock songs.
i normally go for rock or matal. something that has good riffs or a guitar solo.
so stuff like metallica, system of a down, kiss, australian crawl. stuff like that.
favourite driving song at the moment is Metallica - For Whom The Bell Tolls
Techno all the way, but on long drives i dont mind some of the soft shit from the O.C albums

Searching is fun.. Yipppeeee!!!!!!!!!
gotta post again after being reminded...
Metallica is good driving music, also Queen is good (dont stop me now is voted number 1 driving song of all time by topgear viewers worldwide)
I also have the v8 supercars tank full of rock cd, i wasnt very satisfied with it but it's ok every now and again i guess. Was annoyed i paid 30 bucks for it tho
I pretty much only listen to Planet X, Symphony X and Dream Theater these days - whether I'm driving or not![]()
maximum base, thunderdome, bonkers, masters of hardcore....
and other times
ramstein, rob zombie, white zombie, lacuna coil, KoRn, disturbed, coal chamber, slipknot, orgy, limb bizkit, linkin park, collective soul, faith no more, soundgarden, audioslave, offspring, greenday, nirvana, metallica... all sorts of good shite
marilyn manson, slipknot, trivium, stff like that, how random is it seein some1 moshin in their car? lol
heck yes!Dallas Green/ city and colour
And also mostly Beastie Boys, Alexisonfire, Glassjaw (favourite cd's), At the Drive-In. Just whatever band I am into at the time, just put all their stuff on a cd and stick it on random - good for bands who have lots of songs.
I have a 20gig iPod in my glovebox which is wired through my Alpine h/u. At the moment it has about 2500 songs on it.... very random...... Rock, hardcore, hiphop, chillout and plenty of stuff from the early 90's that we used to play heaps when we were kids.
hahahaha so true, random, yet so damn freaking hilariousOriginally Posted by gocommygo

yeah pink floyd is great. cant beat dark side of the moon. zeppelin is great to drive to and so is hendrix. the best to chill out to is bob marley or this other reggae band called 'groundation'.
