"This page will describe the construction of a miniature eight cylinder engine I built in my home machine shop over the past few years. I still have a few small details left to finish, but the engine is running and almost complete."

seems its running, but what scale is it?

Check out the video on that site - the idle sound is awesome! And it spins up nicely too when the guy revs it.

Anyone remember an episode of the TV show "Home Improvement" some years back when Tim the Toolman had a small V8 on the set of "Tool Time"? It was a small V8 made by some company (can't remember which one), and there was also one fitter to a 1/8 scale Cobra RC car on the table. It sounded fantastic when he fired it up...

lol just imagine the RC car you could put that in hey?

I wonder what sort of quarter mile times you could get...

I guess that would mean a miniature auto trans as well lol. Could be tough.

Nice project and I bet the engines that he builds would go well in RC cars, boats and planes.

There was a bloke who made a complete miniature Ferrari it was either 1:10 or 1:8 scale with evry system in the car a working scaled down replica of the real thing. When I first saw it my mind was blown. The maker claims that if you had a tiny man to drive it, it would match the scale speed and handling of the real thing.

Yep the mini ferrari is definately a work of art and very skillfully engineered. I think its better than this blokes little v8 by a mile.

I agree full points to the V8 guy, to build and fabricate an entire engine by hand would be very difficult indeed.

But my fav is still the ferrari.
