Hi ppl, just getting it off my chest, Got a new modified radiator for my Lux with a good old Holden 202 4sp. Removed the Radiator myself, took it to the guy, he said no problem $385, which is fine, got home, put it in and lo and behold I couldn't close my bonnet, they had welded the side strips too high , so the cap is too high, , thinking hmmm silly bugga made a boo boo, rang him, he said bring the Lux in today and we will fix it, trouble then started as I opened the bonnet, before I could say anything he comes out with, you will have to pay for us to remove it? What the: I said you have to be joking, and he said, we don't touch modified radiators?, I was dumbstruck, and said no way, your mistake you fix it, he even said you can borrow our tools, I called him unethical, and he should fix it, he said again we don't touch modified cars, was starting to get a bit angry by now, said just fix the damn thing and walked away, came back an hour later, they said all done, charged me $50 for a radiator cap and labour , just paid it and walked out, sending a letter to Ministry of Fair Trading tomorrow. If anyone reads this, was I wrong in expecting him to fix it for free as he was the one that stuffed up?, had businesses of my own, and no way would I treat a client like that, hallelujah, used to be very volatile and would have ended up in a real S*** fight, pure incompetence in my opinion. Now I have to either fix it myself or get someone decent, this guy got upset when I said I would be telling my friends about this, been in Business 20 yrs he says, must be a millionaire by now, So be aware when travelling the West Coast of WA and through Mandurah, there is one particular radiator installer to be aware of, ask around, won't take long to find out who the Dodgey Brother is and where, better not name them as it is defamation of character, shouldn't have to worry as he doesn't have one. There had my say, would be nice to have somewhere on this site to go to for advice on who to trust and who to avoid. For each state

I agree with you, they're in the wrong so they should be accountable, that's why we pay people so much to do things for us, so if it stuffs up we have someone else to blame lol.. but what he did, it was his fault for not checking it and if he was the one who modified it, then said he doesn't touch modified stuff then that's a load of BS.. I can give you one peice of advice, don't go to them anymore!

Hi Juzza, one thing I definitely won't be doing is going back there, at least there is another place in Mandurah, finding out through asking around and also my mechanic that he is a professional, not a rip off murchant like the other place, mainly wanted to warn ppl in here and elsewhere that there are shonky operators out there, and why not help fellow commodore etc owners from being burnt like I did, that guy goes down in my Hall of SHAME.
