i dont know much about nokia, but the v3x is very nice. MUCH better than the older v3 razors. the only good thing about them was their size - they had sh*t all features.
the v3x has removable memory, 2mp camera, and nice displays. check out http://www.gsmarena.com for more detailed comparisons
EDIT - http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3...&idPhone1=1120
just went there. they both look pretty similar in features. the nokia has infrared and push to talk, but the v3x is much thinner in size. i guess its just up to you to decide what you like better

GF has a V3x razr, only problem with it is the lack of ability to download java software to it from the PC, and this is very easily bypassed if you have a lot of patience and are good with the soldering iron, I can't be bothered but it's had no major problems thusfar. Some of them in the US had to be recalled because of calls dropping out, but I havn't heard of this being a problem in Australia.
The camera on the V3x is pretty decent far away, and it's got macro so it can sort of take a half decent close up (but not really.. much better outdoors), I've attatched some zipped photos she's taken with it to show you what it's like.
Only other complaint is the drivers only work on 32-bit Windows (XP Pro, Home etc. NOT x64 or Vista) and the software isn't as good as my Nokia handset manager (automaticly downloads new pictures/documents when plugged into PC, don't need to do a thing) but the V3x you have to plug it in then navigate through a few menus..
All in all I can recommend the V3x, although I still prefer my N70

I got on Hutchison 3G a couple of years ago and ended up with an NEC e616... they are the WORST phone on the face of the earth lol. Terrible battery life, bulky, slow, not user friendly, basically retarded in every way conceivable.
But I'm sure it's obsolete nowIf anyone wants to SELL me a better 3G mobile, PLEASE PM ME lol.

* 18x8 inch Equus Kalibur Wheels with Maxxis MAV-1 235/40R18
* Sureflo 3.5 inch medium-loud cat back exhaust
The trouble with mobile phone handsets is that they become old and obsolete so quickly and getting on some 24 month contract also means that you are stuck with them and the prices while mobile phone companies change their pricing structures and plans for new subscribers. Buying one outright is also so expensive!
I got stuck in one such 24 month contract a few years ago and had a cool flip phone that was old and tired less then 3 months later, I will never go back to contract handset deals.
Better off buying a prepaid SIM card and buying a handset from Cash Converters or a friend etc, a lot cheaper and easier to update.
But if the wank factor in owning the very latest gear is an issue then go with what earns the biggest BLING BLING points.
I completely take this statement back, via use of network shares and a virtual machine I am now able to connect to the V3x without needing to boot into a 32-bit host operating system (I'm in x64), the virtual machine works 100%! Just took a bit of creativity and time to set everything up, but it is possible.. now if only they'll make some native 64 bit drivers I won't need it to come to thisOriginally Posted by Juzza

I got the Sony Ericsson K608i from 3- love it, but I went to Optus instead so I'm now using my Optus card in the 3 phone
I have k750i from sony ericsson, does the job perfectly using activesync with both my pda and my home pc. Upgrading in June to a newer phone.
6280 looks the goods, brothers got one and it looks quite good for a nokia, i say that because it seems like ages since nokia went above vga with their cameras.
and to be honest, the v3, this thread has been the first time i have ever heard anything good about it, ive heard from countless amounts of people that it is useless, and has needed repair over and over.
im selling my k750i, brilliant phone, hasn't really played up on me apart from minor graphic glitches throughout the entire series it seems, but im selling it to get an old nokia, black and white.. something useless until the k800i comes out, then i may invest.
Nokia battery life is disgraceful. GF has a Nokia 8800, lucky to get a day out of the battery with only low usage (maybe 10 - 15 min on the phone per day). My last phone was a Nokia 6225 and it also had poor battery life. Now I have a Motorola V360 and get 5 days life with the same usage that got me 1 day out of the Nokia. And USB charging is great, can charge anywhere you have a PC.
I've had no such problem with my Nokia, for the first week or two did you let the phone fully die before letting it charge or did you just charge it all the time?
My N70 battery is pretty good, about 4 days and thats talking for around 30 mins and on the radio for 30 mins everyday.
