Default my big whinge about pop music...

omg i just heard this song rihanna - sos and hit the wall (literally) omg this t4rt stole the tainted love beat :| what gives some silly skank the rite to steal the beat from one of the best songs ever to make it sound slutty and dirty so "gangstas" will like her omg :| pop music is so lame, whats with ugly sluts dancing around showing their "humps" or w/e in their clothes that look liek their about to snap and/or fall off :| making girls feel ugly and like they have to look like tarts too :| omfg what happened to swearing and violence? id rather see someone crash a ferrari and make it blow up rather then seeing an aids-infested hoe on stage shaking her "thang" im 17, youd think id like this sort of stuff, but no, their as bad as goddamn emo's :|

There is not a lot of original tunes now and haven't really been for awhile.

Sampling classics and DJ mixes seem to be the go and more often then not they make a mess of it and spoil really good tunes and songs.

Another thing that annoys me is when advertisments use a good song or tune and it gets played a thousand times for 6 months till it almost drives you crazy. Then months later you hear the song on the radio while driving and all you can think of is the stupid product that was advertised.

Its called appropriation/adaptation. That is were you take something old and change it for a new context or change the meaning. Most beats are adapted nowadays.

And while we are on the subject, what message is being sent to our youth?? (thats me but even i can see whats happening). Boys are being taught to treat girls like 5luts, and the girls are being taught how to give them what they want. At school i see girls about 15 Years old talking about d!cks and their G-spots and how to... well anyway my point is they are 15!! (and younger)!! I know girls that are 13 getting with 18-25 year olds!! I dont just blame music though, parents, education system and of coarse i blame them.

unfortunately its the media and money hungry people doing this and the parents doing nothing about it.

I have no objection to pop or any other kind of music using sampling in their songs. I like all types of music that are good and listen to a wide selection of genres. Ya gotta admit some new songs are damn catchy (metalheads wont tho LOL)

I'm no metalhead, i'm 28 and personally would prefer to listen to music that was rockin' my old's when they were my age.
Stuff like pink floyd, the doors, the stones to name a few, we should appreciate these kinds of artists, 'cause more than likely there will be never be anything as good.

Man, you obviosuly didn't see the film clip?! haha
Who cares, if she's happy doing that, and making plenty of money for it, then why shouldn't she?

And as for the norm's take on emos, damn man, we all started off listening to bands like Korn and Limp Bizkit, we just got smarter and grew up. Plus, emo is a type of music (and not Greenday or The Veronicas), not a fashion trend.

lol, people have done remixes of:

    mozart: moonlight
beethoven: 5th symphony, 9th, fur elise.

    among others.

i love playing fur elise remix in the car, start off classic, people look at u weird, then it gets into techo and quite a bit of bass.

i listen to all sorts, some stuff is plain crap, other stuff is good, be in oldschool rock or new stuff.

I think I've heard the Fur Elise remix, realised that they'd turned it from being a 6/8 classical piece into a noisy piece of 4/4 techno and lost all faith in mankind.

There are MANY bands out there today which are just as good as and better than the music our olds used to listen to. They're the bands you DON'T hear on the radio.
