bwahaha if I had more money I'd buy one of those. I can't imagine how good it would feel to get back at the prick who answers his phone in the movies...
The Mobile Phone Jammer
The unit has a fake cell phone display and the rubber buttons
are non-functional.
Pros: Disconnects cell phone calls, keeps cell phones from receiving a carrier signal, portable unit somewhat resembles cell phone, lightweight, works on all carriers with quick call disconnections, entertaining
Cons: Unit looks somewhat like a stun-gun (so don't chase strangers on cell phones like we did at the Chicago Auto Show -- though it was fun), expensive, effective within 30ft or less, power button location may cause the jammer to be turned on by accident. Trust us, the pros completely outweigh the cons on this technological marvel
Overall: This little unit should be kept in your pocket and enjoyed as often as possible. You don't need it, but if people on cell phones jabbering away with their nonsense drives you nuts, you will love it! If you have any questions, you can contact us at autothing or Global Gadget.
Did you ever notice that the worst drivers are always the ones on cell phones driving slow in the fast lane (or nearly causing accidents)? Does it strike you as rude when you're stuck in line and someone ahead of you won't get off their stupid cell phone and pay for their purchase? Do you ever wonder who are all these wonderful people who cannot be alone for two seconds without grabbing a cell phone?
Well boys and girls of all ages, it's time to develop a god-complex with the ultimate tech toy: a cellular phone jammer. Some of you will be skeptical at first, but some of you will experience the same -- dare we say it -- nearly orgasmic feeling of being able to disconnect people from their cell phone calls on demand.

If I had the money I would buy one of these today.
i want one, last time i looked at these, i found a schematic, but it would have been huge.
yep I'll ave one too

A bit expensive for me...
But I reckon it would be worth it to disconnect people at the traffic lights, in their cars, at the cinema, shopping centres, supermarket checkouts and in fact anywhere wankers who talk too loud or hold up queues are.Originally Posted by jack.mcintyre
The look of bewilderment on their faces would be worth every cent.
I wonder if it is possible to build one at home?
there are quite a few restaurants and supermarkets and the like using these already.
I got a schematic but DAMN there is some work involved in it. I do want one but. Shit it would be cool
someone wanna send me the schematic? this is interesting
rig one up to the car so that noone near you will be talking on the phone

These sort of things are fun, but can end up being disastrous in some circumstances.
and minux ruins the funbe more optimistic
I think they should be incorporated into movie cinemas!
minux is indeed a sour old sod but he's right. In fact mobile phone jammers are banned Australia-wide under the Radio Communications act of 1992. According to the act it is an offence to operate, posess, or supply such devices and threatens a penalty of 2 years imprisonment or a $165000 fine.
I wanted to get/build one but that put me off hehe.

It just put me off too...Originally Posted by shaggerz

except im guessing when you park your car you'd turn it off. The battery wont last forever so you wouldn't waste it when you arent there?
yeah screw off minux. im doing an electronics course at uni and this kind of thing interests me. im not gonna make one, i just want to know how they work. so back off

i could imagine the waves coming from the beast would be a little more dangerous that the radiation from mobiles![]()
why? its emitting the same frequency as the phones, just at higher power, like the repeater towers.
actually repeater towers would be much higher than a jammer
Thats sweet once you get one of those all you will need is emp generator and you can fry the computer efi and all cars computers near you
then you could even go as far as beamming the equivelent of 8000 watts of guided microwave rf onto the following car
this may cause massive head aches to the occupants and disrupt the numberpate checking equipment![]()
joking![]()
