got a question for all sparky's out there, (electrical fitter mehcanics that is)
i guess this will all depend on the time you finished your trade, but i finished my 3rd year of tafe just the other week, yippie all tafe done, now, i have got a trade test, and a capstone test. does anyone out there know what the capstone test will involve, is this just a qld initiatave? or is it country wide?
i kinda guess, old mate as3000 will be covered, with alittle bit on the as3008 and the as3018, but im not sure, kinda nervouse, and who know's the name of the standard for testing procedures for flexible cable (leads)

Hey mate.
I am a 1st year tradesman. I just completed my capstone test.
The theory entails AS3000, AS3008.1.1, AS3018.
THe best bet is to buy NUE 505A.. Electrical safety systems. Thats basically what u should expect in the captone
The prac entails an MEN SYSTEM, Earthing system, and testing.. 3 parts
hope that helps
it's all good, did the capstone test a few months ago, and did it ok, now a tradesman myself, yay
