Yeah i know what you mean subdue. We had a VRX trade in at work awhile back. And after driving our VT loan cars i can safely say that the VRX would kill a vt.

I just feel that I should stress that I do not think Holden are the best manufacturer on the planet, and I bought my VX due to the wicked fast depreciation of Commodores.![]()
i know i cant believe the guy sold the plates with the car. i got offered $1000 buck for them the first cruise i went on.Originally Posted by subdue

I was talking to the owner of a Magna. Said he's driven Commodores his whole life and used to have a VY as a company car.
He said that the Magna was easily a step up from the Commodore. He also has a 380 at work, which he says is awesome.
Said they both shit on Commy's and are easily a step up..
One interesting point of view. I would never have guessed..
Just wait a few years when the magna has around 100k on the clock, the timing belt will be ripe for the snapping. I had a 1994 V6 model a while back (company vehicle), the boss put it in for 100k service, told them to check the timing belt and guides as part of the service manual. They said it was still in good nick and would replace at 120k. Guess what, it went at 102k approx.
The boss sued the dealership for the replacement costs plus hire costs for 5 working days. Both heads had to be replaced completely. As soon as all was sorted out he got rid of the car, unfortunately he decided to start using Fords instead.
1994 magna is pretty different to a 1998 magna
(providing the 94 was a TR, this comes from a ex TR magna owner, wasnt a bad car)

Those 380s go pretty hard. My mate and I have had some fun in his. Too bad they look horrible
hmmm
no doubt about the vrx's being a nice and quickish car...
but c'mon... comparing a vt exec to a top of the range, sports magna is a bit unfair
compare.... sports model to sports model... for example a VRX to a Club Sport....
VRX to Clubby isnt really that fair either, thats the HSV, VRX is mitsubishi, how bout SS, that sounds a little more along the lines to me.
True - and we have ourselves a very similarly featured car... similar trim levels, climate control, electrics, etc....VRX to Clubby isnt really that fair either, thats the HSV, VRX is mitsubishi, how bout SS, that sounds a little more along the lines to me.
I guestimate the SS would have a bit more kick in it though- althought hat comes with the price tag.
It could be the best car in the world, nothing will change the fact it's FWD.. If we're comparing top cars from the manufacturers here how about GTS versus an Evo or something.. Sorry but I just can't see the point in comparing family sedans for performance sake
vrx to clubsport bit of a price change there mate and cylinders x 2. 3.5Litre v's ecotec v6 mate the jap mitsi is way more advanced than the ecotec.. I like commodores with a passion but for a v6 holden need alot of work and the alloytec is one good step in the right direction.Originally Posted by VP_Luke
Holdens will always outlast Mitsi that are driven to the ground alot more thats why there used as taxis.

so a clubby, senator,ss, sv8 etc... is nothing to compare to be powerfull? come on gees. Holdens sv6 is spose to be a gun. super charged v6 vt are meant to be quick so whats the deal... They might have for doors be a ton but at the end of the day mate A Commodore worked off its gutz ain't nothing to winge about. We all know skyline & rexs and the like are damn quick off the start no doubt but I like 4 doors street machines and have the v8 bugOriginally Posted by Juzza-先輩

i have 2 agree with subdue on this these magna's are fast as i drive one at work and i think it would kill a fair few cars
best mitsubishi built i think, but i agree with subdue ive got the v8 bug too
thanks boyz! ... I respect cars and i dont mind the critasism but for value for money, power, comfort I dont mind the previous model magna and vrx range, Haven't been in a 380 as yet but i am sure awaiting to.
