i got a SE Z1010. its a 3G flip phone and its a bit of a brick. dropped it a few times on concrete and all it got was a few scratches. full of features too, except the camera is absolute shite
I've just gone through two Nokia 7650's, damn I loved that brick of a phone. I borrowed my mums tiny little phone for 2 days and I lost it..
I can't stand tiny little phones, I need a big chunky thing.. Does anyone else feel weird talking into a matchbox? It's the technological equivalent of a smart car..
But I now need a new phone and I'm probably gonna buy it second hand cuz I'm strapped for cash..
Does anyone have any recommendation? I wouldn't mind one of those tough as nails builders, tradey phones.. As far as I'm concerned, the bigger the better.. Provided it fits in my pocket..
Any suggestions?

The 6600 seems pretty good.. Can the blue tooth be used with a wireless headset?
if the phone has bluetooth than it can be used with any bluetooth device so long as software is accepted, see back of packet for details...ie phone has driver, device works, just like a puter..good luck mate!

not sure if it can be used with wireless headset, havent tried. dunno how much i want for it, will get another fone first. one thing tho, it is dropping reception randomly and wont pick back up without me making it. i gotta take it apart and check it.
knowing me i probably wont sell it if i fix it though. i have a habit of keeping my fones.
I had 2 7650's with blue tooth, they were star trek when I bought the first one.. Paid close to a grand for it.. Damn I was stupid..Originally Posted by azkwazere

Or has technology progressed heaps since then?
the 6600 was released not too far away from the 7650, 7650 was like first with bluetooth, or damn close, so the tech was pretty basic.
as i said, read the back of the head set packaging...it will have the supported phones on it. Its all about the drivers people!!! USB 1.1 is still around cos people keep bringing out the drivers for it!!! The signal is the same but there may not be the driver on the phone...And with your other "star trek" phone...please tell me when you pushed a button you could Jean Luc saying "make it so..."....please tell me your could!!!!

I've just looked at these on eBay.. The 6600 has the same, if not similar operating system and buttons.. Means I don't have to learn any new tricks..
Cheers fellas.. Now I just gotta find one to buy..

Well, I for one have no idea how to do that.. But I'll probably find out before I get the new one..
If you want a decent phone, DONT buy a nokia. Our telstra rep tries to sell us anything but nokia's. 9/10 times new phones are the same as the old ones with pretty cosmetic changes![]()
are you on a plan or prepaid? I got a plan on B ($30/mo) and I got a "free" phone - Samsung E700 - very happy (got it about a year ago, 24 month plan)
Agreed. No more Nokais for me. Aren't you's all sick of Nokia's crummy battery life? I changed to Motorola in December '05, got a V360 for $199 outright with Vodafone - has bluetooth, 64MB memory card, MP3, etc etc and it even came with a bluetooth headset. And I get 5 days between charges and since charging is done via a usb cable I can charge it anywhere I have access to a computer as well as with the wall charger! All my previous Nokia's have had like 1.5 day battery life and my missus has a new 8800 and it doesn't even manage 1 day! No wonder it bundles with a spare battery!
