Need Some Computer Help..

in my Device Manager.... where you look at what hardware is in your comp.... it shows there that i have 2 CPU's Pent 4 - 3 gig cpu's in my comp..... i took the side off and can only see 1 .... I have tried to remove ( uninstall ) either one at a time and restart the comp but it always comes back as my comp having 2 cpu's....

maybe it has something to do with hyperthreading. i wouldnt worry about it. just leave it before you accidentally screw the computer

i believe what you're seeing is intels "hyperthreading" coming into play. in task manager, there will be 2 graphs for cpu usage, but ive never actually seen 2 cpu's in device manager, but have also never looked.

Hakhawk..... CONTROL PANEL...... SYSTEM.....HARDWARE...... DEVICE MANAGER...... then click on PROCESSORS....

yeah i have 2 under there as well. its just hyperthreading.

also, no need to tell hakhawk where to find it, he does have a pc in his car

Hairy Eater, i know where to look, just never bothered. and the computer im on is an amd, so no hyperthreading on mine.

it could be hyperthreading or mayb its dual core...one off em its normal so ye...oh and if ur pc is running fine why bother with it...??
