I've heard a little talk about things instrument related, and im wondering who plays an instrument? Post up what you play, as well as what style of music and your equipment

I play guitar, mosty metal and hardcore. Got an ESP LTD F-2005 30th anniversary guitar and a line 6 spider combo

I play all the saxes, and have a particular love of old american ones from the 1930's. For the true old jazzy sound you need them.

hey dudem yeah im a guitarist as well, i play both electirc and accustic, but only own an accustic. On my list is to buy an electric, but plans for the car have been withdrawing the money thus not allowing me to buy.

Also i eventually plan on learning bass just for the hell of it.

Music Type = Metal, mainly Death & Nu

im looking at getting an Ibanez RG170...r.r.p bout $400

The sax rocks, i own and play tenor, but when i get my hands on one i love the bari. You cant beat the sound of a 1930s sax, awesome stuff

style of music - contempory church music, as well as old hymns - they have their place. would love to play in a ska or jazz band.

I play guitar, I have an Epiphone Les Paul Standard and a shitty cheap acoustic, and a wee little 25 watt fender amp, and various pedals. I used to have an SG copy but sold it to buy my family christmas pressies back when I had no job last year. I'm looking for a good acoustic now.

I usually play indie and punk rock but dabble in thrash/power metal and hardcore, never been in a band but I wouldn't mind starting one.

also laying around is the weirdest Samick I ever saw. It's actually a Custom Shop Samick (go figure eh?) Strat shape, Babilukah body, Tun-o-matic bridge and gold hardware. Brought it off a guy for $200 without realising its actually a $1400 Samick. Its not easy walking into a room full of guitarists with a Samick HAHAHA

It's a mixture of Marshall Valves and boxes. Laneys heads and boxes. Some dirty dirty dirty old Peavey that I'm ashamed to say I own now. Also have THE Randall. Complete with a 4x12 Cab and a 2x15 Cab. I feel so Darrel-esque when I play that thing.

yeah my first guitar was a black samick copy of the stratocaster. didnt like the sound after a while so i replaced the wiring and pickups with some from an ibanez and made myself a transparent scratchplate for it.

heh trust me stocky...this doesn't play or sound like a regular Samick. I wish I have pictures of it...it is pure horn until you see the name on the headstock. Also forgot to mention that it has Seymour Duncan Humbuckers and that it weighs more then my Les Paul.

used to play bass, but having a family and a job sort of got in the way of the rock star dreams.
dunno much about my bass. it's a yamaha 5string, apparently worth more than 3x what I paid for it, and I don't own an amp or fx, so I've only heard it once through a 10w guitar amp which died shortly after...

old bass was a rokaxe. piece of shit but it was my first. pawned it for shopping money (newborn babies are expensive) and never picked it up again

but I plan to get back into playing, and maybe starting drums also

i play guitar and been known to mix it up on the turntables from time to time!

Got a gibson les paul studio plus (nice schmick flame top) and a marshall jcm900 100w combo (bloody loud)
I also have an aria acoustic thats about 30 yrs old and extremely well made for a jappo guitar of the era.

genres i play.. newer alternative stuff but i always love havin a jam to some zeppelin or hendrix.

on the turntables i dont mind mixin some hard house or dnb, or if i feel like some quick fun, scratchin to some hip hop

i play the rare "VNREARRESONATORLESSEXHAUST" sounds similar to... well the sound is unmatchable.... the instrument comes from a small group of peaople that desided the orginal instrument "VNSTANDARDEXHAUST" neaded modifiying. Very nice note, play it every day. There are those out there though who belive it is too loud sometimes so i must be careful as to where i indulge my creativity.....LOL
