IMPOSSIBLE IS NOTHING.
Check here: who will win
I'll watch Sports Tonight for the highlights.
Well, Mundine won for those that want to know, threw fewer punches with more landing, Green threw heaps of punches with most not landing. Green slipped a few times on the canvas, with mundine getting two connecting punches in when he did on one occasion, Mundine stacked it once. Green got a warning or two for low punches too.
OKAY............. now let's hear all the sorry excuses why Green lost.
It was rigged, he had a flu, Mundine was on juice, Greens cousins...best friends mother in law slipped in the local Safeway liquor, hahahahahahahahaha!
Whatever the excuses they should be good.
ANTHONY Mundine brought the hype to an end with a unanimous points decision over Danny Green in a savage super middleweight fight at Aussie Stadium in Sydney tonight.

In the last of a ferocious 12 rounds at Aussie Stadium, Mundine rocked Green with a combination of punches to the head and taunted the Perth fighter to "come on".
Green came back at Mundine, as he did all fight, but he nodded to his opponent at the final bell in acknowledgement to his conqueror.
Mundine gloated "Who's the man? Who's the man?" straight after the bout before leaving open the possibility of a rematch. "I just want to thank Danny for a great fight," he said.
"He put up a good performance, he came ready, he came prepared.
"I was the better man tonight Dan, thank you very much.
"I was looking for the knockout, I caught him with a few great shots, he can take a great punch.
"Danny fans, bad luck. He's a great fighter, he'll bounce back. We can do it again maybe, soon."
Mundine revealed later that his preparation had been hampered by illness a couple of weeks ago.
Advertisement:
"I was sick a couple of weeks ago, that's no excuse, I was sick and feeling down," he said.
"I had to have five or six days off training, no-one knew about that."
Green was complimentary of Mundine.
"Anthony Mundine, a lot has been said in the past, he just fought a better fight tonight, he just beat me fair and square," Green said.
"I have no excuses at all, I trained unbelievable, my preparation was great ... Anthony was the better man tonight.
"It's difficult to lose in front of these people, I'm holding back tears.
"Some nights you fire, some nights you don't.
"I'm not going to take anything away from Choc."
The bout, six years of hype and antagonism in the making, was personal from the outset - with Mundine's mother Lyn yelling at her son from ringside to "knock him out Choc, shut him up my baby".
All those years of built-up animosity and spite came thrashing out in the ferocious opening rounds and continued throughout the World Boxing Association super-middleweight world title eliminator.
The fight opened with a little wrestle and a nose-to-nose eyeballing as the fierce rivals came face to face for the first time in their lives.
And they both showed they wanted to make up for lost time, Green punishing Mundine's body and Mundine using the speed of his jab, slicing one through on the bell to end the first round.
The pace remained hectic in the first four rounds, with Mundine standing tall and using his jab while Green mixed his power punches.
A small cut opened beneath Green's right eye, and he was bleeding from the nose in the fourth round as the tempo slowed marginally.
Mundine looked in greater control and in better condition as the fight wore on.
Green threw everything into his power body punches, which were often swiftly answered with a lightning combination from Mundine which sent the sweat flying from his freshly shaved mohawk.
Green slipped on several occasions and three times struck Mundine below the belt.
But he responded whenever he looked hurt, splitting Mundine's lip in the 11th.
As Mundine danced away from Green in the final round, the crowd of corporate leaders, former world heavyweight champion Joe Frazier, bikie gangs, peroxide blondes and rugby league players sensed where the decision was heading.
Judge Pinit Prayadsab from Thailand gave the fight to Mundine 118-111, Korean Michael Lee scored it 116-113, and Australian Derek Milham had it 118-112.
Mundine, who took his win-loss record to 26-3, now has a shot at world champion Mikkel Kessler.

A little something i found
Really really great fight. Best that I've seen in a long time. I wanted Mundine to win and thought he'd have it. Looked stiff in the first round but opened up and I think won the next 11 rounds. Much more composed! Green couldn't get near him without copping some nice punches and ended up frustrated and too scared to get close.
Danny Green is a thug but i still wanted him to win...but Mundine was the better fighter and good on him. But Mundine will not beat Kessler...
I think the Kessler mundine fight will be a good one to watch, i just finished watching the divx version of the fightOriginally Posted by 1991_Vn2nV
Mundine didnt once look like he was fighting above 50%.
Green kept stepping in all night, no matter what Mundine threw at him, he didnt land nearly enough punches, and mundine landine most of his, some with devastating effect, as much as i wanted Green to win, he got beaten on the night by the better fighter
Danny green was never even in it. I'm glad i didn't put that bet on! I really wanted to see Mundine go down...
Mundine out boxed Green from rd 2. Green looked like he was trying too hard, never looked comfortable. Mundine was just too quick, landed close to 75% of what he threw, and looked like he couldve knocked Green down in the last couple of rounds, but to greens credit he kept pushin forward, unfortunately to no avail. Mundine v Kessler will be a cracker, kessler will want to have improved if hes to beat Mundine.
Mundine, respect as a boxer, but as a bloke...he has a long way to go. Needs to learn some humility...

did anyone watch hopoate fight?? knocked the other bloke out in 50 seconds. M
Mundine did look very good in the fight, and deserved to win. I have a bit more respect for hiim after the good sportsmanship after the fight
i didnt like wat he said after the fight tho.... c'mon u gotta love the original aboriginal....who the hell says that on national TV these days....
the hoppa fight was 47secs actually, the other bloke looked like he was having a heart attack after hoppa hit him the first time...
mundine, an aboriginal muslim, is an insult to all aboriginals - they're heritage doesnt believe in religion but some how he does...
gotta respect the man as a boxer - hes bloody good. but arrogant ppl in this country are cut down pretty quickly so he mite want to keep it down a bit. he talks the talk and one can now say he walks the walk, still doesnt stop him from being a wanker outside the ring.

So being an aboriginal he can't have his own beleifs? That is possibly the stupidest thing i have heard.Originally Posted by _Mukas_

Green was determined to knock Mundine out but couldn't connect enough times and didn't change his plan at all.
Mundine boxed smarter and just picked up the points throughout the fight with a few good hits thrown in.
The much smarter boxing by Mundine gave him an easy win.
Danny green is a much better boxer than he showed on the night and Mundine is a much better boxer than most gave him credit for.
Mundine's Dad, Tony, is reportedly one of the best boxers ever seen in Australia so some of his talent was bound to be passed down.
I hate Mundine when he's talking the talk but away from boxing he is a decent bloke who should be respected for his skill as he is a very good boxer.
The aim of his talking the talk is to infuriate his opponents as you can't box angry. Works a treat as most just try to knock him out but he moves too quickly for the energy sapping punches to land.
There was a famous American boxer who did the same thing, remember him?
I wanted Green to win, as I'm from WA, but I thought Mundine would win if Green just tried to knock him out. Alas that is what happened.
I don't think there will be a rematch as there will be little interest in it other than from WA fans of Greens.
Never

green should have won mundine is way to cocy![]()
Mate, if you actually had any real knowledge about anything other than what you believe is true then you would know that Aboriginals, as a people, have the "dreamtime" dating back tens of thousands of years, and collectively do not believe in religion, hence the reason Mundine is as badly looked upon by many as he is...Originally Posted by minux
i know eh does all his Aboriginal stuff, catching echidnas n shit (he actually did do this during training) but it kinda spits in the face of his heritage in him becoming a Muslim, and spits in the face of the Muslim faith for becoming one as an Aboriginal...
If thats stupid, take it up with an elder and im sure he'll change it all just for you![]()
