"Kilometres 70,000
1 family owner since new."
woah. Very very nice car. Surely worth more as a collectors peice or something?
doesnt seem that underpriced....im curious whether he meant 70,000 miles or km's (i know it says km's...but the guage on the eh would be in miles)
someone will probably buy it and bastardise it like all the other ej,ek,eh's gettin around.
yeah, it might be a bit cheap, maybe worth $10,000 definately not worth adding a zero on the end tho.
I pity those poor suckers on the freeway. Gas, brake, honk. Gas, brake, honk. Honk, honk, punch. Gas, gas gas!
I wish we kept our EH. Too much rust thoughJust rust removal would have cost thousands... But when an EH is worked... SOOOO Hot..
mate its a EH.. he will be lucky to get that im sorry to say. $8500 is a far bit for something that is not classed as CLASSIC..
That is a lot of money for an EH. Maybe it is different here in Perth but a Premier EH in the same condition wouldn't pull that much. Maybe an S4 would as it is a collectors item, maybe even more.
Very nice car though.
I suppose cars like this are rare these days and are worth whatever somebody is prepared to pay.
My brother bought an immaculate FC sedan with a red motor and disc brake front end but all else stock for $4900 about a year ago. It is beautiful.

A collector would pay approximately 10 000 - 12 500 for it (My family collects old holdens/chevs)
But to a normal person, he won't get that much.
He's advertising such a nice car, in the wrong place.
i thought they were classic. my vh is due to reach classic age in the next year or 2.Originally Posted by commy92

ECOTEC KICKED IN yO!!!!!!
yeah sorry it is classic i was thinking vintage. Classic is 40 years old i think. But dont hold me to that. I still dont think that its worth 8500. My dad is an OLD holden fenatic. Im pritty much not much better. We have an fj sedan fj panelvan and and fx sedan. Soon to have an fj ute as well. The fj sedan is the only fully restored at this stage and its only worth about say 7k. Im sorry to say this but i wouldnt pay 8 2 for an EH unless it had some serious work done to it. I love the old EH, Ej era as well.. Wanted one for AGES
I thought "classic" was 25+ years old but I'm not sure either. I know Vintage is pre 31/12/1927 though despite the vintage Holdens, Fords and Valiants advertised. Then there is the veteran class, I wouldn't have a clue what age group this is.
Just checked the local paper and there is an EH with redmotor and brakes for $4000 needing work.
Perhaps the price isn't too far fetched then for the advertised car.

Yeah they are getting rarer... to find any car of that age that's one owner, immaculate and unrestored is like finding rocking horse shit !Originally Posted by Pretender
Check out the prices of a restored HK/G/T Monaro... I flipped out when I saw $80 G pricetags... you could buy a damn nice car for $80G... a corvette springs to my mind for that sort of cash...
Maybe adding an extra zero to an Eh is a bit exagerated but I would have thought a car like that one would be worth double what he is asking !

Why? Its a 149 (he didnt say if its the low or high comp one) with the shitty 3 on the tree. If it was the S4 would be another story..........Originally Posted by sixshooter

Selling FG G6E Turbo and buying a N/A Supra
Just looked into it and there were only 120 S4s released.
I'd say that would make them worth a lot more than $8200. I wasn't aware there were so few made.
The car advertised is a base model, having the 149 and 3 spd but is in superb condition.
Checked the quoakka (another local paper) and there are a few for sale from $1800 - $12000. Six or seven are below $5000 with one for $8500 and one for $12000 so the average price is below $5000. All claim to be good or very good condition but who knows if any are as good as this car.
The only manual 179ci released, officially, was the S4 but you could option it with the lesser models if you twisted the dealer's arm.
