Going for the old Ps today

The time is here. Booked my Ps test yesterday.. I had to choose between Today and the 26th of June, so I took today.

I'm a little nervous, I suppose everyone is. But I reckon I've got the whole driving thing nailed down

Wish me luck. I'm off at 3pm today, so I will have hours to drive around.

i failed mine first time i got my l's had a lesson that day then one 2 days later then one on the next monday sat my test on the friday failed sat it 2 weeks later on the friday and passed got mine august last year tho

a mate of mine went for his test and he didnt even know it his intructor told him they were having a double lesson and they did the test at the end he said you just got your p's, how good is that his instructor said he did it so he would be pumped up about it.

yeah i got a friend like that, failed like 10 times or something...feel sorry for him, he's been trying since bout 2004 too...

loves his vl calais turbos, is on his second one now, bought one did it up and sold it so bought another, looks good but he cant drive it by himself though...

fortunately for myself i got mine second go...

there should be a limit on how many times a dumb c(&^% can fail
im glad ppl fail it means the roads are safer for all untill they can drive

Go wa! got mine first go, scraped a fence, the examiner made a note about my bad parking skills but commented on my good flow. i was shakey at first but when i scraped the fence [ reversing exercise ] i thought bah thats blown it and calmed right down thinking instant fail. after a few more exercises etc it occured to me he didnt say i failed....... come to marking and yeah said i didnt too badly, said i should park all four wheels on the road but out of the way of drive ways and yeah. pass.

supposeably my brother say's he passed first time in a magna running it in 3rd most of the time [ manual ] scoring points for confidence. and after having a loss of license complication got it a second time in a lil ol daihatsu charade despite it boiling over during the test. so no issues here.

yeah i got mine 2nd go, and i aced it. go number 1 i was sick and mum made me do it still haha...so i went for it again and i got high scores for all except one or two which i got the exact scores, i couldnt beleive it when the guy was like "you passed" i was like "i passed??" hahaha and then shook his hand went in and paid haha...i learned in a Purple Mitsubishi Mirage...haha so gay now i have my car...instructors have the worst cars IMO

Don't worry about it too much, just think about what you stuffed up and work on it for next time. Took me two goes, first one I got failed for accelerating and braking too hard. I was driving a mazda 121 and fairly sedately as well I thought. Turns out they weren't too keen on people using compression braking either. Also before you're pulling out from the curb, don't just turn your head to check your blindspot, try to dislocate your neck and look directly behind you, they approve of that. It's all about showing them what they want to see, so work out what it is they're after and just do it.

I can't believe it's been over three years since then, I'm going for my full license soon! Wooohooo! another test to flunk!

Yea I failed my first go too. got it second goMy hands where "too low on the steering wheel" (9 and 3 o'clock) and my bumper bar was over the line of a "do not queue" zone.

And I learnt in a.............wait for it............. FORD LASER!!!!

Good luck on the 26th, I know a few people who took a few times to get their licence so you're not alone there..

I reckon i had the easiest driving test ever, it was on a Friday arvo at 12:30pm at the old Vicroads Ferntree Gully office.

This elderly observer comes out and hops in the car, chats away with my instructor about footy and other students as we drive once around the block, we go behind the site to parallel park, I do the park, he hops back in and says 'drive back to the carpark now' and I'm sitting there thinking I failed, he hands me the test results, only thing I lost points on was 'headchecks'.

I go in and do the written bit and eye chart, get photo done, etc and all done by 12:46pm

I failed my first time. The chick taking it was a bitch from the very start and went all apeshit about the rear wiperblade obscuring the L plate and was VERY rude throughout. She said I wasn't doing a lot of stuff and I reckon most of it was bullshit, she just had it in for me..

I got a points fail, which for someone who was driving for 2 years non-stop was unexpected..

I did the test again a week later and got 99%.. I was just chatting to the bloke about cricket the whole time..

Funniest shit ever. It was like "yeah I reckon Haydos is kind of.. left mate.. yeah out of form but he's gonna, oh three point turn.. lallala"

Oh well.. I've got my P's now and couldn't be happier..

yeah with my first go i had the flu, but my mum still made me go, i failed in ten minutes, apparently i didnt do something right, but i knew id failed because i wasnt thinking straight.

when i went for the second test it was at 1:00pm. so the guy had just had lunch, either i was amazing that day, or he had just had the best meal of his life!! haha...all i know is i have had my p's since november 21st...

Damm straight! I think you should get 3 goes max, after that you can never hold a drivers license.
I got mine first go, 99% for the drive and 92% for the Hazard Perception test (which is the stupidest thing ever, I just randomly clicked for half of em).

mate, i got mine second test first time and first test second time. If you can, stay away from the middle of the city, outer suburbs are good, and level areas that ways theres no hill starts so you got one less thing to think about.

Yeh I did a similar thing went and did my ps passed first go, but the oldest wouldn't let me drive their car and I couldn't afford rego so I had to wait a month to save up the money. Then got my car on the road was driving for 4 days when on the way home from I was mucking around with a mates vk. He took a short cut and this vl came up beside me, so me thinking I was invincible decided to give him a go. Got totally smoked and as i was pushing around 95 I saw a car take a corner crazily and floor it trying to catch up.

I looked at the headlights and thought hey they look like VK lights it must be my mate. It was a paddy wagon. I was just hitting 145 when they flashed the blue light and I realised how much of an idiot I was luckily the VL was that far ahead they didn't realise I was racing it. Got lucky and was booked as 81km/h in a 50 zone, they didn't have radar so they could only book me as the speed they were doing and say I was going faster. Got my self a 6 month holiday and grew up alot. I've never had the current car over 120.

So the lesson to be learned kids is don't do anything stupid you will eventually get caught or worse run out of talent, I was lucky no one pulled out of a drive way or something.
