hey everyone,

I am on the hunt for a new car, and i have seen this VY SS ute that i like, just wondering what you guys thought of it, ( like is it worth it for the price)

If your going to spend that much money, look for a seriies 2 with leather seats and climate control, there are heaps of people out there worried about fuel prices so this is a good thing if you want an V8. shop around and try buying privatley with factory warranty, (that one may have just run out), have it checked out, pay attn to diff, transmiSSion,engine ETC.

Would look good with a chick driving one, my Mrs loves driving the SS ute, but hates it when im driving!!!

you are entiteled to the remainer of the factory warranty, dealers give i think 3 months, not sure if that covers all probs or just driveline, take your time choose your colour and get as many options as you can.
keep us posted when you make the plunge, be careful not to put it sideways around corners in the wet.

Also if you can wait until sep/oct this year the new model will come out and the price of something like this will drop around $5000 or so. Also the price of fuel has scared many away from V8's and its a "buyers market" ATM. Good luck with it.

30,000 for a UTE? Can pick up a VY II sedan for less than that.

Im with ucwepn, hold out until the VE's are out. Prices will drop like crazy

Utes retain there value better than sedans over the long run.
Have a a look at the prices of VS utes compared to VS sedans..

True^^ I forgot about that, and also that the VE ute is still maybe a year away from the sedan. Maybe even 2 years. Well thats what I heard anyway. It is definate that the crewman and adventra VZ will be sold alongside the VE for some time to come.

thanks, like i said before i will be taking my time on this one, even though i do like this ute, like a few of you have said i can probley get a better deal somewhere.... so thanks again guys ill definatlly take everything you have said on board, and i will keep you posted
