That's the first thing I thought of, why not just set it to vibrate.

I think it's a fad/fashion thing to rebel against adults who can't hear it.

i didnt read the article but i dont reckon itll work...what if you have an adult with less matured hearing, or a kid who gets one then has further developed hearing that what the wavelength is...i dunno, sounds sus to me

i would hate to be in a room with 20kHz ringtones going off. they should just put it on silent.

I just tried it on my media player as an MP3 through my computer speakers and I could clearly hear it even when I got up and left the room.

Maybe through a phone speaker it would be different even though I didn't have my speakers cranked up loud.

thats a serious question ### head........ i am honestly asking to find out whether your an adult yourself...say....over 25 or not and if not would someone of that age be able to hear it?

I turn 21 in January and the lowest I can hear is 55.68Hz

I thought you were being a smartarse when asking if I was an adult! Mukas, and I don't think that I'm a ### head although I have been called a lot worse then that many times.

pity a lot of teachers arent' that far out of their teens. like me for example i'm not a teacher yet, but will be next year, and do tutoring now with highschool students.

i just listened to one of them. if a kid had that on their phone and it went off, i'd be plenny annoyed!!!

dad said that the tone can be adjusted and a sound that can't be heard can be found.

Use the tone generator I have linked. Im currently working out the highest tone I can hear.............damm it hurts my ears!
